The price they show is 499.99. You guys came up with more sites then I knew about. I figured people would be all over the pre-order, like they were for the Mammoth?

I've had my name on it for 2 or 3 weeks, I'm not obligated to buy it, but I have the option.

Everyone that buys one will be selling it within a week. It looks like garbage as far as I'm concerned.

"looks like garbage"??? Please explain.
Other than the composite driveshafts, I don't see any see any basis for that statement.
I'd buy this truck over the 'zilla conversion.

Cal, just to let you know, I talked to one of the guys at Cen about those composit drive shafts. And they are stronger than steel and much easier to produce. They where specifically designed to run with the .46.

I've heard that about composite... I guess that the potential weakness though is any flaws in the molding process.
Regardless, it looks like a kick ass truck to me, and if the price is actually around $500, that's a heck of a deal. People are paying $300+ for the Truckzilla conversion... Let's see...$400 for a stock Savage + $300 for the conversion. I love the Savage, but the Genesis COULD be a real contender.

Looks like it wont really need many hop ups. This could also be the first actual, always working, not tearing up gears in 2 weeks, three speed tranny.

Looks like they just took the design of the savage and made it bigger. With a few other perks. Not bad looking though. For 500 it looks pretty good. If I had some extra money i could see buying one. I like everything one the truck except the whole 4 wheel steering thing. Not necessary IMO. The .46 looks like it wil rip but well have to wait and see

who wants a gensis any way its just a cheap imatation of the savage
it wont have no aftermarket parts and mecky33 dont say it will because
how long has the cen MT and MT2 been out and there's hardly any after market parts for them
cen just saw how well the savage is doing with the new design (TVP) and they want some of
that money. so wat if it has a .46 get a wasp.26 will kill it any day or night

nitroguy, The four wheel steering can be locked in a few minutes so you don't have to worry about it.

Hell_Savage, the reason the MT2 does not have an aftermarket is due to lack of high volume sales. Aftermarket manufacturers do not want to take a gamble on a truck that has been on the market for a year. And people do not want to buy a truck that they can't modify. People are also afraid to buy an inexpensive truck, because in this hobby, Inexpensive = poor quality. Cen has tried to change that, and the reason that their trucks are so cheap is that they manufacture everything, there are no third parties involved like the other big companies. I also want to know how you are figuring a 2.7 HP wasp will beat a custom designed .46? that engine is not a heli engine, its not an air plane engine, it is an engine designed for use specifically in the Genesis. So it will probably put out at least 3 HP if not 4. And it will also have a massive amount of torque compared to a .26.

ntro, I am just wondering. Have you ever even seen a Cen truck in person? You can only trash them, and it can only be one of two things. Either you have had a seriously bad experience with Cen. Or you are a younger person that has a serious case of monkey see, monkey do. You may want to read the moderators post [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_1480040/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm]here[/link] ,its the second post from the bottom.

Why do people make statements that they can't back up???
"its just a cheap imatation of the savage"
Please explain. OK, it has the TVP design of the Savage, but how is it "cheap"? Are you saying "cheap" as in inexpensive? I don't mind paying less for something...
And, your comment about the .46 vc .26 doesn't make any sense. With the greater torque of the bigger motor, they can gear it to get way more speed than any .21-.27. And, unlike the EK4, this motor is not topped out at 18000 rpms. Why do you think Hot Bodies chose the same motor for the 'zilla conversion, and have you seen that thing run? Killer.
Until the Genesis is actually available, these are all just opinions based on pictures. When it's out, buy one, thoroughly test it, then post a comprehensive for the good or bad.
Regarding aftermarket parts, it's all about volume of sales of the truck. If the Genesis take off, you can be guaranteed that there will be plenty of stuff available for it (even though it may not need it).
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that the Genesis will be the greatest RC truck ever. Just give it a chance until it's actually released, and people have beat the hell out of it and found out if it's truly "cheap" or not.

your comparing a puny .26 to a massive .46? what hell is wrong with you? are you feeling all right?[&o] I doubt it. and mecky i think the genesis is going to have the same if not more horse power if not more than the truckzilla kit, which by the way produces 4.8 horse power[X(] why do people keep hating on cen? maybe its the fact that they make great prefoming cars for lower the price than most competitors.
