Default GEAR RATIO HELP

I wanted to play a bit with gear ratio on my MGT and savage. correct me if I am wrong to figure out your gear ration you take the spur gear and divided by the clutch bell for example on a stock mgt 52t/15t ratio 3.46. I am aware that this is not the final gear ratio to the wheels. So i am assuming that the lower the ratio the more top end speed the higher the ration the more low end. so if I went to a 52t/16t ratio 3.25 would give me more top end. so with that said what are valid spur gear / clutch bell combination for the MGT

that may be true but you can get the same ratio with a 16/49 both work out to a 3.06
