Yes it's quite awesome. I pre-ordered the first one my LHS gets. Go to Losi's site they even have a video of it. [link=http://www.teamlosi.com/kits/LST/index_main.htm]Team losi.[/link]

I personally think that the chassis and shock design are brilliant! With that chassis, you can work on and adjust just about anything without removing anything. Plus it looks very strong and light weight. If you dent the chassis badly enough, you can replace just the bad section without disassembling the whole truck, Brilliant!
And the 4 shock design is awesome! Makes it much easier to work on and tune the shocks than an 8 shock setup. Who cares how much oil it takes to fill them, the stuffs cheap.
They did look a little soft. Nothing stiffer springs and heavier oil can't take care of.
That video is just a teaser of the prototype, and doesn't show it's true potential. It doesn't even have sound.
I think Losi really did their homework on this one. The design is amazing. It'll be strong and light, and easy to replace/tune/remove/repair anything on it.

I'm not sure if it actually weighs 13 lbs or not, but you've got to consider that it's a big truck with big tires and a .26 engine. The RCCA article said that it's much larger than any other monster truck on the market. So 13 lbs would be light for a truck that size.

If it is as big as it looks in the pics - 13lbs does not sound that bad. I cant believe how big the MT's are getting these days...

According to its specs, its MGT size. The tires are slightly taller too.

Guys...

Think about it this way.. Do ANY one of you know how much your real car weighs?? I bet your gonna be off by at least 500 pounds. Take a guess and take a look at the.... wait.. do you know where this information is located?

I get the feeling that we are pretending to know what the information means when in fact we dont.

Before we watch a video and start a pre-launch flame war.. lets wait it out!! Issues like "I dont like the way it looks" are of course subjective.. but things like "11 shocks are better than 4" certainly have no basis in scientific testing.. and have no value!

I'm not picking on anyone's argument.. just saying that we should have an argument before making a case

Gotta agree with you buggies, everyone becomes a nasa engineer lately when it comes to this stuff. It's a hobby and let's see how losi does. The tranny has a low and a high gear with 2 speeds in forward and reverse. That's different. Personally i'am not a losi fan but i'd like to see how this truck is in the hands of the 16-17 year old racer smiling from ear to ear. Losi is all about racing and this truck has been watched for as much as area-51 so far.The reverse jump was an especially nice touch to the video, no?

What gets me is how big all the MT's are getting - it is a mine is bigger than your thing. Once you get so big - it will weigh a lot. If it has the power to push it, who cares just have fun.

I think its best to give Losi a few years to perfect it. Its not very smart to buy somthin when it first comes out with no way of knowing how it really performs. though it is a SWeet truck it looks more like a racer rather than a basher and all around MT.

Dual steering servos; is that gonna be a problem? I'm a newbee, how will they connect or coordinate the steering servos? This looks to be a potential problem from my ignorant point of view.

As long as they are the same speed/torque they should be in sinc with each other. With the big size of the truck, the extra torque will handy, and it's supposed to have a very tight turning radius. Also with the 2 servo set up, bump steer caused by the servo saver(s) will be reduced to one wheel at a time.
