RE: xtm 24.7
I LOVE the 24.7 motor- it is a GREAT powerplant for the $$$. I had one in my Xterminator. It is SO easy to tune, it has AMAZING power throughout the band. It is just a sweet motor, straight up. I didn't care for the one way asssembly, but I think my one way was bad. It was always slipping and I had to pull the backplate off and constantly clean the one way assembly so I could pull start it.
I have a Hyper 21 8 port in my Savage, and as soon as it kicks the bucket, a 24.7 will be in for sure. The 8 port is very finnicky and unpredicatable.
However, in you situation, the S-25 is a great motor. I would just run it until it dies on it's own and then upgrade. No reason to jump the gun.
