Default contemplating savage ss or .25

does the savage ss not come with a rotostart? i would prefer to build the kit so that i know that everything is done right, but i also want the roto start to be included. other than a tumed pipe, what other incentive is there to opt for the ss? thanks

i just got done building my SS and it was fun and i know if it was put together correctly (w/ lock tight,! rtr doesn't come with lock tight on every thing metal to metal is what i've been told so you'd have to take it back apart to do that), plus you can choose what kinda of controller you want or use one you've already got. it also come with adjustable a arms. it has taken me less than 3 days to put mine together and i know that everything is tight and ready to go.

I would go with the 25 it has a better clutch, fuel tank and the ss is just a 21 with a 25 motor but it is my[8D] opinion

No, you are wrong. The SS has the upper adjustable arms, the HD bones, a tuned pipe, the spring pipe mount, and the .25. So its alot more than just the .21 Savage.

Why not just review the comparison chart at HPI's website. If someone can't figure out the characteristics due to the lack of spacing, visit the website. After all, I'm not going to waste any more time on this and have already provided the link.

hey whats up I whent through the same delema. but after talking to several hobby shops they all convinced me to go to the Savage 25, reason being the Roto Start, and the 3 chanel radio included. You could always upgrade the adjustable upper arms after you get used to it, when you decide you want to get a tuned pipe you choose the one you would like and can afford, the purple springs are not expensive if you decide to grab majior air. Savage 25 put in the batteries and fuel start it up and have fun and grow the truck to your preferances. Have Fun

i'm debating between the two and since i'd like to choose my radio, i'll probably pick the ss. for the parts that are better, the non-ss has:

better clutch
better fuel tank
roto start system

so if i get the ss and add the clutch, the fuel tank and the roto start, i'll have the .25 with my choice of radio plus:

better dogbones
adjustable upper arms
polished aluminum pipe

do i have that straight?
