Default Choosing a truck

I'm reasonably new to nitro models, i've had a car for a few weeks and although fun i'm fed up of worrying about every little bump and stone.. so i'm looking at Monster trucks as they look much stronger..

The two i'm looking at are the savage 25 or the menacer, the menacer is faster (with a smaller engine???) the savage looks stronger.. would be interested in comments from people who have these and what they think of them?

Thanks

I have a TRX 2.5 T-Maxx and a Savage 25. They are both equal for durability reasons and they both look real strong. But fun-factor wise I would go with the Savage 25.

The meancer?????? Do you mean the menace? ZWell the savage is a great truck but its user freindly and tuning are difficult. Its also very hard to work on. Have you looked into the XTM mammoth monster truck? 52mph out of box

well i have to say that i've had nothing break on my TQ...i just wish they would have not discontinued it..
as far as best truck go to a track and see what is being run more than being fixed!!!!!
all trucks have thier ups and downs.. then again you could be like me and i dont want the same truck that everyone else has....this way i can find out what to do and help others...anyway good luck and have fun...
P.S. as i see it if it has a big aftermarket then its either breaking alot or people love to watch them sit on a self......lol..

i dont like duratrax. its like tower brand. no offense, they are nice for what you pay. i would say savage is one bad truck, but it takes me like 5 minutes to start each time. that is annoying.

sorry folks. every truck has its pluses. i wish a duratrax was my first truck, and i had saved some money, but instead i went for a nitro rustler, that was so fast i broke one part every 50 feet or so. duratrax, nice first truck.

oh i learned something to night.....i thought it wasn't a big block..any way the 24.7 i hear really wakes up the TQ, and probably anything its in..the mammoth really fly with it also..

I would like to say, The Savage 25 comes equiped with a Roto-start and is easy to start if you know what you are doing. Mine starts within 5 seconds, every time!!!

anything can work. i have a sirio .27 and its not suppose to take a roto start. yet i put one on it. all it takes is customization.
