XTM makes it. I love it. 52mph, great price, open and easy to work on chassis. If i were to buy a monster truck right now i would get it. The only downfall is that the shocktowers bend a little easy.

Oh Man.. You would not be disappointed in this truck. I'm a newbie to the R/C World and figured this would be a great truck to start with.

I have replaced the shock towers with the 5mm ones due to flipping it and bending both the front and rear (at different times).

I have just finished my first tune up of this wonderful truck and it is running even better. Throttle response is quicker and the transition from low speed to high speed is very nice.

If I can do it, anybody can. This truck is a blast to run and to play with.

That is a question you need to ask your lhs. It doesnt matter that i can get em regularly, if your LHS never has em. So make sure to check with your favorite hobby shop before any purchase.

Since I bought my Mammoth from my LHS, I was able to ask about hop-up parts and was shown thta they carry a complete line of replacement parts and also some of the XTM hop-up parts. This made me feel better knowing that I could come down to a local store and get the parts that I need if I break something.

Good advice is to check with your LHS and find out what they are going to carry.

Yes, but , most lhs's dont carry parts unless you live in california because that where the xtm store is. There are actually many hopu ups for the mammoth now.. CF shock tower, 5mm shock tower, chasssis brace's, crazy nut allumium a-arms, and a bunch of other allumium and CF goodies and such.

I love mine, although I'm trading it for some onroad stuff. Its just too fast and big for my uses. [&:] I have an 1/8 buggy that suits my dirt off-road needs. Like stated above, not a whole lot of LHS's carry parts for them, the shock towers bend easily, the steering servo wire is susceptible to getting munched by the spur gears, but it has evil speed and handles pretty good for what it is. I have read of a lot of guys have clutch trouble as well. But like anything that is big, fast and relatively cheap. You will need to upgrade to keep it reliable. XTM gave you the starting point for a very awesome vehicle. Check out the Mammoth forum and read what other owners are saying........good and bad.

the reason that lhs doenst carry parts for mammoth is because its a global hobby thing, and they charge $500 bucks every couple of months to sell their parts. xtm is awesome, they just dont have the reputation of like the savage yet. they will. i have an x factor (for sale on the marketplace) and i like it a lot. its for climbing and i live in indiana, so i dont have a use for it, regretablely.
