RE: mammoth or xfactor
Then you neeed to get the mammoth, The x-factor is only for rock crawling. SO get trhe mammoth wich is great jumper and 52mph speed.

The X-Factor can't really be made a competitive Racer. It is an awesome basher and rock crawler which is what it was designed for. The XF2 has a higher top speed and some minor updates, but overall unchanged.
The Mammoth is a racer- It is having some durability issues which I think will be addressed by the aftermarket industry very soon- specifically the shock towers and plastic gear cases. It is basically a truggy- part MT, part buggy. It does look like a lot of fun, and it is the top dog in terms of all out speed right now.
I like em both a lot, just entirely different genres. Decide if you want a rock crawler or a racer, and then you should have your answer.

Actually, I guess they didn't change the gearing...
I guess the extra power and speed come from the upgrades- not gearing...
1. A lot of people weren't using reverse, so we made it an after-market option. This also simplifies the tranny a little. Any customers who wants it can still add it.
2. We included the Hitec Aggressor and a metal gear servo
3. We used the blue parts and changes the colors on the body.
4. We used the threaded shock bodies and changes all of the settings so it is softer.
5. It is just a tiny bit longer
6. We put the foam in the tires and used the newer style wheels
7. It uses the newer center gearbox with the screw-supported shafts.
8. Uses the cap screws and larger ball ends.
9. Tightened up some of the tolerances on some of the moving parts.
10. moved the switch
And all of this makes for a truck with more durability, a little more power and speed, with nicer accy's that used to only be aftermarket, and a lower every-day street price so more people can afford it.
