Default Nitro Rustler vs HPI MT

Hey, is a 2.5 Rustler better then an HPI MT. I know that the rustler is ALOT faster, but would the 4wd be better for me, in a basher. I heard the 2.5 is hard to tune. but i dunno if the 4wd would do me better. Ok thanks for the help

I seriously doubt the 2.5 would give you any problems on that extremely light truck. Most of the complaints about that motor are from over heating (tuning issues). On a lighter truck, you wont have such a problem. My personal preference would be that the 4wd MT2 is gonna offer more fun, but thats my preference. Both of those trucks will be fun, and good for club level racing.

My friend always has problems with his rustler 2.5. the 4wd would be awesome for bashing and u don't need 50mph for bashing.

Four wheel drive is a must for bashing IMO. And not to push it, but have you thought about a Cen MT2? The only reason I bring it up is last weekend I was talking to a guy who had an HPI MT for his son and he said he is constantly replacing parts on it.

i was constantly replacing parts on my rustler too. the thing is just too plastic and too small to do 50 out of the box. maybe it shouldnt have been my first car though.

my savage is so fun. it can handle way tougher terrain, and is pretty fast, and it can take a pretty good crash or flip without making it into a $$$$$$ trip to the lhs. t maxx is good too. as far as stadium trucks go, rustler and hpi both make good entry level machines.
