Default Which one?

I want to get a monster truck and I've narrowed it down to three choises. The Traxxas Revo, Cen Genesis, and the Hot Bodies Dirt Demon. I know some of these haven't come out yet, but I am willing to wait. Which should I get? I want something that will good for bashing that is durable. Also something that will alright for occasional driving at the local track. I don't plan on racing with this.

The cen genisis is not for the track. The hot bodies and revo will be good for the track though. Out of those i would go with dirt demon cuz its huge! You seen the xtm mammoth?

Well the xtm mammoth has a good price( 369.99$), it does 52mph, the engine holds its tune, its easy to tune, its one of the most powerful stock engines out, and its super reliable. The mammoth is also easy to work on. Its also durable. The only problem with it is the shocktowers. They bend rather easy

I don't really like the xtm mammoth, especially because of the low ground clearance. So out of the three I listed which one should I get? I don't care if it performs well on the track, I would just go there occasionally and not race.

Well, if you dont like the mammoth for that reason, then scratch the Dirt demon off your list. Its based on the same style chassis. As for the other two, you have to wait. Neither of them are out, and wont be for a while.

The Genesis will be out at the end of this month according to CEN sales and customer service. I've personally been face to face with one of the testing trucks and I can say first hand that it has as much suspension clearence as a Savage so it should do just as well in the rough stuff. The Mammoth and the Dirt Demon are excellent choices as well. Each has ample ground clearence for anything you're likely to encounter in normal everyday bashing. The choice as to which one is best for you really boils down to which you like better. No matter which one you choose you'll be making a good choice.

Then this guy should get the dirt demon if he wants to have high clearence. Supposedly the dirt demon is 2 oinches taller than the savage.

Just a couple of days ago I was in the same predicament on which truck I should get, and I decided on getting the Revo in June. I think the best advice I could give you would be to pick the truck that is built for how your going to drive it and one thats not totally out of your budget. Plus, based on what I know, all three of those trucks are great.

so basically, 2 of the 3 trucks you mentioned are not out yet, and for someone to state an opinion about a truck that they have never even seen in real life is silly. how can you suggest a truck they all you have seen is 3 20 second videos? anyway, out of the trucks out there, heres my breakdown on them....

mammoth, great racer
savage, great bacsher
t maxx, good basher, good racer
mgt- good truck, never caught on.
hot bodies, looks great, never driven one

and also, if you want to talk about trucks that arent out yet...how about LST.....

oh, i would say that i have beaten t-maxxes before with my savage in races. but if its stock for stock? idk about it then. the savage may not flip as easy and have better handling, but the t-maxx has it in the straight away. if they are stock for stock.

Default RE: Which one?

comes down to what ur main purpose will be.... how good your lhs carries that trucks parts.... and how much ur willing to spend

imo, the Revo looks like a race truck, trying be made into a basher, but as with all Traxxas it'll be sold everywhere and have great aftermarket, and your lhs should have its parts readily available

Genesis looks to be a pure basher because of its massive size and weight, would not be too great on the track, and there not carried by many lhs, mainly online, and they have a slim aftermarket.... but nonetheless they make a great truck

Dirt Demon, is big and tall, not a good combo for the track, it would need to be lowered a little for that, but it is said its a great basher, theres just no aftermarket for it, but since there big on savage hop-ups, most lhs that carry HPI will have Hot Bodies, thats a plus
