T-maxx .21 conversion
My buddy is putting a XTM 24/7 motor in his t-maxx with the .21 conversion kit. Everything I have read says its a direct fit. He called me and said that the shaft appears to be too long and won't work. Can anybody help with this ? Is their an easy solution? Any help would be greatly appreciated. THanks!!!

RE: T-maxx .21 conversion
What they dont tell you is that you have to grind the crank shaft down to fit the clutch nut against the flywheel, thread the nut all the way on the shaft, measure the space between the nut and flywheel to see how much you need to cut off the end of the crankshaft, after that my only other suggestion is to upgrade your primary fwd & rev gears with metal gears from Robinson's or a similar mnftr. I have the XTM conversion with the .247 engine. I went through several plastic gears for the trans, until i converted the trans to metal primarys with stock output gears. Hope this helps you guys out.

Thanks alot your suggestions should help. My buddy just spaced it out with flat washers for a temp fix but now he will know how to do it the right way. He also is ordering the metal gears through robinson. thanks again!!
