the mammoth sucks, i personally own one. there are allot of parts for it only because the original parts break on every run. well a monster truck is meant to be tough, the mammoth is the big ***** of all monster trucks. I'm selling mine for 340, anyone here interested?

y would someone want your mammoth after u hav wrecked it ? . If u knew how to take care of it and did some small mods to it maybe it wouldnt break and u would still want it.

He breaks it by hitting things at 52mph. Hes gotta. The mammoth is tougher than that.

There alot of parts for the mammoth in the aftermarket and from XTM i have never busted any part on my truck i have put shock towerbraces on it i think the only other upgrade i will do for durability is the tranny plate to the 5mm one, Cuz the stock one likes to bend down at the rear brace but after i put the shock tower bracing on it has stoped but the 5mm lookc NICE!
And to pple who brake the mammoth, This is a hobby! if everyone built a bomb proof truck this would no longer be what it is and verry few people would have a nitro rc. Things are made to be improved on if they whernt i would be board as hell and never want to play with my HOBBY!!!!!!!! OH yeah i bet if you ran your mammoth into your leg at WOT your leg would be broken..does that mean you are a piece of junk?? NO! I am sure you get my point

That sucks you dont like it man. Your price is a little high though. I know its new, but to possible buyers, they dont really know how it was broken in, etc. Im not sure about anywhere else, but my LHS sells it for 360. You might get just over half what you paid. Thats just my opinion, you might do better on ebay though.

you know what is funny about that, alot of people here have stated it, and I will state it again from experiance in heli's
Its a hobby, the fun part is running them, but its just as fun to take your wreck in from the field or where ever you drive/fly/etc..
and upgrade, fix, tweak, whatever you need to do to fix or upgrade your vehicle.

I crash my heli's on occassion due to stupid pilot error or a worn part giving out. sometimes a crash is avoidable sometimes its not.

Things break, but everything is fixable. Just gotta look at it from different perspectives.

Took me about a week an half to decide what trucks are best suited for my son and I, and after countless hours I still haven't a clue cause
we are too new to this aspect of the hobby.

But I decided to go with a savage and a mammoth. Not because there the best, but because I've heard 80% of their pros & cons.
There are many more trucks to choose from, but this is our start, we will use them and probably buy more trucks to add to our collection
down the road.

Its all about having fun and learning. Nobody knows everything [>:] but its sure fun trying to get there.

I know of two thiungs I don't like about it: It is geared too tall, and the lower a-arms are weak. It needs bigger spur gears, but they are already hanging below the chassis plate. XTM should have rased the center diff to allow bigger gears. The a-arms are so long they are not "A" shaped - more like "l" shaped. There is no triangulation to it, so they break easily at the pins. But it is a fun truck, and it is a great deal for the money. RC Solutions has a cage for it now too.

Well, the cage will protect the shock towers from rollover damage.
