Default MTA-4/MGT

I`ve got the european model of the mgt, can any one give me some tips to get more power from the tt.21 engine????
I love this engine, but could use a bit more low end + top speed
If I could make it go about 40 mph, without loosing any acceleration i`ll be happy!!!!

Get the side mount header, and a high end pipe. Use some lighter wheels and tires, and then re-gear it. Also, scrap the reverse gears, and servo and linkage. You'll shave alot of weight by doing that. Or just buy a bigger motor.

gearing is pretty simple to understand, just difficult to get exactly right!

In theory, if you make the truck lighter, its gonna accelerate faster, but top speed wont be effected very much, so, you can gear the truck up (more teeth on your clutch bell, less on the spur gear) to get the top speed up, and the acceleration will be back to stock. So if you race/bash somewhere you never get to top speed then leave the gearing as it is, if on the other hand you are reaching top speed and still have plenty of room left to run, maybe gear the truck up.

changing the rolling diameter of the wheels will do the same thing, taller wheels/tyres will up the gearing, smaller ones will lower it.

bit general, but i tried to keep it simple. there are more things to take into account, such as, if you gear the truck too high, the engine wont reach the correct revs to hit its max power, or if its geared too low, you'll get wheelspin and wheelies and lose acceleration.

So if I get this right!!!! This should do the trick, and I can get Both!!
I put a clutch bell with 18 teeth on, and it will get a higher top speed ???
And a high end pipe to give me low end power(acceleration) ???
