Default Clodbuster vs Juggernaut2

Hey

I was wanting to know which truck would be good at rock crawling after the after market chassis. Also, is the juggernaut 2 still in stores or can you olny get it used from forums.

Thanks for your input.

Yeah you can still buy new Clods (Super Clod now, same thing w/blue body).
There are tons of crawler parts available and a strong following. Also the motors
are in the axle so they are hard to tip.

i dont know... i personally like the juggy.... the clod is cool, i have to admit, and it is a really hard choice, but i like the juggy for the center shaft... it does limit the travel, but you dont really need 90 degrees of articulation... the center shaft gives you more torque per pair of motors because both power the front and the rear, versus one powering the rear and the other powering the front... its also good cuz if you want to stray from crawling, you can pop in a brushless motor...

anyway, i would suggest the clod because of the after market support... there are a bunch of stuff you can get for the clod... its also more versatile in terms of what you can do to it, and what size you want it to be... the clod makes a better custom truck... if you get a clod, you wont regret it.... either way though, you will have fun...

IF your looking purely for a rock crawler go with the clod. More chassis options and it takes allot to make a Jugg a great rock crawler. If your looking for a great crawler right out of the box you should look at a txt-1.

Heres a pic of a pretty much stock txt. The only thing right now thats done are different shocks and I removed the sway bars.

Thank you all. This will make picking a whole lot easier. I never thought about getting the TXT-1. I see I have a little more looking to do at the TXT-1.

I dont own a TXT but they are pretty popular crawlers and look like
an awesom truck in stock form...The only problem with the center tranny
is that the body leans to the right (w/flexy sus)because of the torque. Im not sure if you undrstand but if you notice in pics of TXT crawlers the body
leans when under power. Do your research, look at pics, ask questions
before making this investment.[8D]

ya txts may look expensive from the beginning but it comes up costing less than a mod clod.

I have been looking at the clod and TXT and it looks like the only difference (after the clod has a after market chassis) is tha the clod has the motors at the axles and the TXT has them up in the chassis and the power goes to the wheels by a drive shaft. Is this the only difference or did i over look something. Also is there some one who makes a kit where you can put in an e-maxx tranny for the TXT-1?

So I have to decide whether to get a XTM Mammoth for fun, (I'm in England so there isn't much space to ride around) or the Clodbuster or SuperClod. If i got the mammoth i dont really have anywhere to ride it but i already have the Schumacher XTR which i am buying the onroad conversion for, so i would already have an on-road car. I need an off road one and now i think that i should go for a Clod. I might go for the XTM X-factor instead because it's nitro and it looks like it'll be pretty good at crawling........So, i want a crawler but
1.Nitro or Electric (X-Factor of Clod)
2.How fast does the clod go?
3.Is it fairly easy to make your own custom Clod parts as i have the machines and materials readily available?
4.What are some good Clod websites?

Thanks for any help,
Craig S.

The clod is slow mine goes about 20mph but it is much better at crawling then an xfactor(electric just simply out performs nitro with crawling). Is you current rc electric or nitro?

some good clod sites woudl be:
rcmt.net
clodtalk.com
rcjimsplace.com
rccrawler.com
clodparts.com

Cheers, my current XTR is Nitro, size .21 and 55mph. I also have the tamiya TB-01 which is electric and very fun. Where can i buy the clodbuster from? It is very fun but now i want a rock crawler. Is the stock clod 4 wheel steering like the superclod? I might just buy the superclod instead if its not 2 expensive? How much am i expecting to pay for a clod nowadays?

a stock clod isnt really good for any thing. But since you have the machinery and materials I say dont get the clod kit get a pair of axles. If you woudl like I will load a shopping cart up at rc4wd of all the things you will need. A basic clod(excludign the chassis since I take it you are goignt o make you own will cost around $300

Thanks but no thanks. I bought the clod off ebay but it hasn't arrived yet because the seller doesn't know how much the postage is yet. When i build my chassis all i am gonna need is the axles and since i dont care if its black plastic or aluminium (although it looks good) i will already have everything. So, i wont need you to go shopping for me but thanks anyway.
