Default "Lil bit of Old Skool"..Sassy

Here is my dream truck in all its glory. Its been sitting for quite a long time on a shelf...

sort of a shelf queen......(garage that is ) .

a fully loaded sassy/esp/ccp clod...it may look like crap right now but its mine

no flaking of the chrome boxes ..ill let the pix speak for them selves.....

check out the Local Motion stickers...."old school baby"..

stay tuned for a total revamp [&:]

i soaked the tires for 3 days. Some scrubbing every now n then but couldnt get rid of the browness on the tires. So i sprayed some tire shine, letting them soak it up a bit then im going to wipe them dry

next is the teardown and some cleaning... [8D]

took it all apart and ended up with this masterpiece....

polished the bumpers, side steps, sassy chassis and let me tell you something...dust does wonders to a truck thats been sitting since 1988....absolutely amazing how new and nice they still look...not a single scratch on any of the parts....

I finally finished after a 13 hour teardown, polish ,clean and assembly......with breaks in between(no sleep)

I know you guys have your thoughts twards a sassy chassied truck but untill youve had 1...you guys just dont know.I may not be able to fabricate my own parts but ...this is what i do...

this is my 30th sassy truck i own and it just gets better every single time....I hope you guys like it 1/2 as much as I do...if you do then i did something right [8D]

please let me know what you guys think.....

This is what im talking about...an all aluminum rollbar with working aluminum ram lights....let me tell you...it doesnt get better than this...

i couldnt sleep knowing there was something missing...couldnt quite put my finger on it right of way but it dawned on me...."I need more shox"... [X(]
out came the 8 shock set up and in went a super rare "SASSY CHASSIS" 12 shock kit with built in lift kit...which i have 3 kits... ...a lil better dont you think?

now i can go to bed...

i had some older TMS/sees rims on it but i wanted something a bit more old school...so i slapped on some O.G Sees rims.....

"BOOOOOYAAAAAAA"!!!!!!!!

Very nice truck. maybe you can help me. A guy I know wants to build a good rock crawler and i keep thinking electric would be the way to go but he wants nitro. I'm having trouble trying to figure out how to get a nitro truck to be slow enough to crawl. I've been thinking that maybe a slipper clutch built to work like a lever drag fishing reel that could be controlled by a 3rd channel might be the way to go, but i hate to reinvent the wheel if something is already available that will get the job done.

CrazyCoconuts,I have a crawler posted in the Crawling section....under "BudgetCrawler"

FHM,a slipper clutch would be the only way you will get anywhere remotely close to crawling a nitro without stalling.

Snowrider,I posted 4 trucks in one day..a Crawler,an Old School Sassy,around 4 E-MAXX's and a Pimmpin Micro...each in their own section....check em out

Is the tunepipe/muffler hooked up to that egsaust system on the body of the truck? If so, how did you do that?

dont worry about it[sm=bananahead.gif]... i would think it was a nitro too if i saw it for the first time... you dont really hear too much about electric mt's anymore... except for maybe the e-maxx... [sm=spinnyeyes.gif]
