dominator clutch gear keeps snapping in 2
Hello peoplz
can any1 shed some light on this for me. I have a Dom extreme with 2 speed steel gears and i Have broken in half the 2 speed clutch bell gear.usually happens after been at full throttle for a 100m or so then stop and plant it again.I have already checked and the motor is square when mounted and the clutch gears are not to far , or to close to spur gears...
getting tired of waiting 2 weeks for replacement parts down here in Sydney Aust......every time they break..
should i go back to the nylon spur gears as they wont be so hard and will probally wear first before the clutch gear breaks again (what u think?)

Well if the nylon one break or wear out your in the same boat(waiting for replacements that is)
That's odd, the Second speed pinion gear breaks when you get on the throttle after coming to a quick stop ad back on the gas quick?
Sounds like the Cam in the 2speed isn't disingaging fast enough.
Sounds like your getting on the throttle with it still in 2nd gear and the torque is just too much for it.
It could have dirt or something inside, metal shaving? Some crap? Rust? not letting it disingauge
Take it apart and clean and Lube the 2 speed assembly
If it's all clean and smooth, try to tighten the cam spring as tight as you can, this will put more tension on it to pop back into 1st gear faster.

This truck will handle a lot better with the center diff upgrade

would you have a part number or a link where i might be able to find this part(centre diff upgrade).as it is not listed in instruction manual and i can not find on the net.....
