Savage-25 = 36 mph Top Speed!!
Brand new RCCA came yesterday w/a review of the Savage 25. Guess what...after a year of taking crap about how they were faster, quicker and more rugged than the Maxx (it was REALLY bad before they split the MT forums!!), the best it could do in a thorough test was
THIRTY-SIX MPH TOP SPEED
My god, a stock E-Maxx could give it a run for it's money (and a brushless one would kill it!). And it's clear from the review that they did EVERYTHING possible to get that number...many earlier runs were clocked lower. And it's not just top end, they weren't thrilled with the acceleration, either.
This was the S-25, so yes, the SS might be a TINY bit faster. Is top speed really all that important? In the real world (racing, bashing/jumping)...NO. But acceleration is, and people always seem to want the fastest, regardless of it's importance.
Still & all, a stock maxx is CLEARLY and DRASTICALLY faster & quicker than a stock Savage. SS OR S-25.
Sorry, but after all the venom the Savage guys useta spew at us Maxxers, this is SOOOO nice to hear!!! Now if we could just prove that the Mammoth somehow tricks radar guns to get it's 52 mph, we'll be a REALLY happy lot
And sorry, Tweedybird, don't take this personally, as I've enjoyed our 'conversations' recently. You weren't here when the Savagophiles were trashing our Maxxes. Just get an RB-28 and you'll be fine!!

RB 28 released already? I thought it wasn't out yet, hell it would have been in my list to buy already!
But then again Armormax said he had one in his twin setup so I guess they are out already.
(Gonna have to setup direct deposit to my LHS)

Nothing beats the madforce? I'll leave that one alone. As should everyone else before another flame war starts.
I cannot comment on it either since I don't own 1 or have any up and running yet.
But I'm pretty sure theres alot of people here that will disagree with your opinion.
But the key word there is opinion, and everyone is entitled to one.
so Cheerio to "your opinion"
Oh Btw maniac was that an attempt to bash my intellect? if so that was un-called for.
But no worries I don't get upset at subtle attemps at humor

RE: Savage-25 = 34 mph Top Speed!!
well since it comes with the duel steering servo setup I will probably keep it that way, but since I'm ripping out the orginal RX to put in
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXAKL2&P=V
in order to use my 3pk with both trucks
I will probably end up buying better servos when it arrives.
So the radio, receiver, and servos that come with it will be going on ebay as soon as it arrives.
