I need help with cen mt2 radio.
From what i've been reading and being new to this hobby the cen radio is not very good. When people say radio does it mean just the controller, or servo and electronics

RE: I need help with cen mt2 radio.
I personally don't own one(I have a T-maxx and they are nearly identical in speed and acceleration) but I bash with bonified5, and not to put the truck down, its a great fast little truck but the whole radio system isn't one of it's strong points. The radio a Mirage I believe has a range of about 300 ft from what I have seen, and currently bonified5 and I were jumping (it flies real well) and for some reason the throttle servo just quit working. The electronics seem great though.

The actual radio and receiver were the bad part on my mirageII The servos were fine but not strong enough for racing in my opinion.

be sure to get a good radio, i went through 4 cen radios. they are junk, and they even admit it. the servos are not so bad, though they lack torque. careful you don't want to crash, thats what happened to me.

cool, be careful with that cen product... if you get stuck, they won't back you. if you want to read my experience, check the thread "does the ct4s suck?" i wrote a long reply. those servos i mentioned are the best bang for the buck. i did my research.

The Cen transmitter is not the best. I am using an airtronics with my MT2 and the stock Cen reciever and have only had one run away that was not reciever related. the only other problem I have had was an issue with the reciever cookinging the throttle servo. Cen replaced the reciever for me at no cost and I have had no problems since then.

yeah they have rep;aced parts for me too. but if you get a lemon car, they wont exchange it, instead they will try to fix it. if they cant fix it, your stuck with it. the owner ken does not beleive in replacing defective product. he says it too costly.
i am glad to hear yours is working good though.

Actually i'm still thinking about getting a cen or savage. Thank you everyone for their input.
Just gotta get passed the mother. U know how it is.
lol
Another thing that bothers me is by the time you get a good radio, you could already buy a savage 25 for around the same price. I just love the cen mt2 because it's the underdog. I think it's awesome that it can go on a track and whoop any other monster truck.

Amac, with either the savage or the Cen you will want to replace your radio at some point. The Cen will allow you to replace the radio for the same price as a stock savage. You also want to look at the price of replacement parts for the Cen versus the Savage. Just an example the Cen piston and sleeve is 19.99 on ehobbies, the Savage piston and sleeve is 75.00 on ehobbies. This is the trend regardless of what part. So keep that in mind when you look at what you want to buy.

BE CAREFULL, THEY ARE HIT AND MISS. I ENDED UP CRASHING MINE WITH IT. DO NOT RUN UR CAR WITHOUT A FAIL-SAFE. TRASH IT AS SOON AS YOU CAN AND GET A REAL RADIO...

RE: I need help with cen mt2 radio.
i ditched the stock radio asap once i got the $$ and got a futaba radio system with their FS-1 fail safe and a s3305 metal gear steering servo. never had any issues w/the new radio and i feel secure withthe lifetime warranty that comes with all futaba products. thats all i have on my mt2 for electronics.
