wat ever u dont buy anything from HB's
its all crap

but some piggy's or shocks from www.rcxshop.com

My Savage was unbelieveable slow & weak on it's 1st few moving tanks but once I got through them & leaned it out a touch I was grinning from ear to ear. I love hearing that you built this truck for your son & have the patience to teach him how to drive it slowly before you unlock it's true abilities! Did he get to help you build it? After hearing your paint scheme plan I'm even more anxious to see what it ends up looking like.

yeah I got it already, I won't be putting it in tho until I upgrade the entire center diff with TI gears, right now I'm using the stock nylon spur with a metal bell, so I have to upgrade a few things on the truck before I pop it in.

I recommend you put the RB 28 in your LST and the Mach 26 from the LST into your Savage.

Yea slago, that is an even kewler idea. The RB in an LST would be a real blast!!

And thanks for the invite Tweedy but I doubt I will be in your neck of the woods anytime soon.

yeah we'll see, I'm currenly working on a set of custom wheelie bars for the savage, if they come out as planned it will fit perfect for the RB's power.

I'm gonna leave the LST stock, as I want to see how well Losi really put the truck together. If I need more power in the LST after I break in the mach .26 then we'll go bigger, by then hop ups should be coming out main stream for that truck as well.

WOW all over spinner's. Well I like the look myself. Nice job on the Kids ride. And just a little advice for the guy's who don't think RB is worth it. Buy one. I was of the exact same opinion that that type of money on a engine is out of the question until I had one. The quality and performance is the best I have seen. I also have a bud with a Phantom .27 and he loves it. No problems yet.

Well I finished the stocker body, after about 5 days of work put into it, I'm kinda pissed cause my LHS sold me the wrong masking tape, and some of the black bled through when the first dark colored coat of airbrushing was complete, I bit my tongue since this is the first body I've done. but promised my son that the next body I complete will come out better.

Now that I have all the correct materials I can start the escalade body.

I've also just picked up a hemi coupe body that will be the next project after the escalade.

That looks like one happy boy!

Good job! I think the body looks pretty cool. The yellow and black is a good color combo, it screams "CAUTION!" like a giant hornet. That's better than what I could do.

Thanks everyone for all the positive feed back, alot of work was put into the building and preperation of the truck between my son and I and we are proud that its finally complete. (outside of the upgrades and hop ups of course!)

anyway ran the 7th tank through the truck yesterday and actually threw a wheel >: noticed that the velocity wheels use the spinner hub to lock the wheel down and they don't have locking threads like the regular wheel lock nuts. so it just spun itself loose from the vibration I'm guessing.

I was half throttle and the tranny just shifted to second gear when the tire rolled away from the truck. it was actually quite a funny site.
I slowly applied the brakes to bring the truck to a nice stop and had to purchase a new set of hex's since I searched high an low for the lost hex in the street but couldn't find it I wasn't worried about the pin since I have so many extra's but I didn't have any extra hex's.

Well I learned the hard way to locktite the velocity's.

As for the RB .28 I've not seen the engine run or in action, and I bought it purely on word of mouth. and was disappointed to hear that two people in my local area have bought one and are quite displeased with the engine's performance. I've tried numerious times to go to the rb site to see the videos of the engine but their video section seems to be down constantly. I returned the engine yesterday due to the bad reviews I got from 2 guys that just bought it and were very unhappy with its performance. I turned the money for the RB towards the order of the trinity sirio . 27 racer monster HP 27XL Which i've heard from many different people is a great motor.
but only time will tell I suppose. I'll let everyone know how it works out.

More bad news though, those nice spinners and velocity's we have on the truck will have to come off when the new sirio is put in the truck, since I was also told that the new torque of the motor will rip the prolines hex's to shreds.

I was pointed towards the direction of imex tires and wheels for the added torque.
will have to test out the theory.

Almost through first gallon of fuel, and almost time for the first break down of the truck Weeee!

You may want to give some liquid mask a try. When I first started in rc cars I was all excited about getting to paint again ( used to paint scooters years ago) then I found out everything is backwards and inside the body. After several frustrating attempts to get masking tape to go where I wanted it I tried a bottle of liquid mask. It takes a bit of getting used to since you have to trim it to the lines you want, but once you get that down, any worries about bleed are gone for good. Even the high dollar masking tape has trouble conforming to all the little blips and dips found in a lexan shell and no matter how diligent you are about giving it a final pressing before the first coat there will always be at least one "aw s*&t" where paint snuck under the edge of your tape somewhere.
As for the tempest over the wheels, I've been dealing with negative comments from the basher crowd over my 12 powered lite race maxx for years. At first I was getting it from fellow MT racers as well until enough coats of azz wax got applied to their heavy metal monsters to convince them that a good basher did not always make a good race truck.
