A NEW KIT OR RTR MT/ST
I going to be working this summer and earn about $800 in four weeks for this summer hire job. I will also be baggin grocerys at my local commissary to make money. I was wondering if anyone out there could help find a kit or rtr monster truck or stadium truck that could keep me under $1000 total with hopups and parts. I just want another basher to play with my violator. Thx [sm=drowning.gif]

are you looking for nitro or electric,Straight axle or Independent, 1/10th or 1/8th.
For $1000 you cna get a fairly nice truck in any of these catagorys

Get an LST like breakin2 said. There wont be any need to upgrade right away and later once hop ups come out you can do what ever you want to it. It's going to be a sweet MT.

hi, noone realy knows much about the [link=http://www.teamlosi.com/kits/LST/index_main.htm]lst[/link] yet cause it hasn't been released yet, same as the [link=http://www.cenracing.com/cars/genesis/genesis.html]genesis[/link] and [link=http://www.traxxas.com/REVO]revo[/link] i think.(click on the names for more info)
well how new to the mt market are you, do you know the current products?
the main ones are:
mammoth: fast at 52mph, kinda like a big stadium truck. ready to run (rtr) around $369
Savage25: very tough, can withstand big jumps, not much need for upgrading parts but a bit slow just under 40mph around $400 RTR
Savage ss: same as above but comes with some hopups like tuned pipe around $350 but is a kit, so you have to assemble and supply own radio system
Mad Forec: fast at high 40's good articulati[link=http://www.cenracing.com/cars/genesis/genesis.html]genesis[/link]on (wheels bend high) RTR pretty tough around $400 as well i think
T-maxx: bout low 40's pretty fast, needs hop ups to keep running i've heard, breaks easy. but fast around $400 as well
