I was looking in my Horizon Hobbies latest issue and I saw the truckzilla. Is the truckzilla better than the Savage 25 if so why isn't it as much money? Also I was noticing the Savage SS that was another monster, is the Savage SS better than the Savage 25? If so why is it less money?

Whats better the Savage 25/ Truckzilla/ or the Savage SS?

The savage .21 is an RTR .21 engine
The savage SS is a KIT, with engine, no radio
The savage .25 is an RTR .25 engine
The truckzilla is an upgrade kit for and already running savage

Does the truckzilla make the Savage 25 better? Also how fast do you think the savage 25 can go alone?

the truckzilla kit is actually a helicopter engine, people that have it generally dont like it, a good quallity .28 engine is known to be a better way to go.

If you have a radio, and want to build it yourself, get the SS, if dont, get the savage 25. dont forget reverse and a failsafe.

What do you mean by filesafe? Do you have to pay extra for the reverse function?

yes reverse is an extra part and requires a third servo to operate, a failsafe is a module you put in line with the throttle servo, it stops the truck if the batteries go dead, truck goes out of range, etc...it keeps you from having a runaway truck if something happens.

O yea, thanks a whole bunch. So are you saying I should buy a Savage 25 and buy the third servo + Failsafe? How much do you think those two items would cost?

ehh, maybe about 445 or 450. then an extra 35 or so for the reverse module. so about 480-485ish all together.

The savage ss comes with a better pipe and MUCH STRONGER drive shafts. The SS also comes with a pull start engine vs the savage 25's rotostart.

if you had the i would buy the ss sell or keep the orgial engine as a back up or use the money yuou make off it and a better engine and what ever else you wanted
