Get the savage. Way more aftermarket support than the mammoth.

trust me stay away from the mamonth i had one is was total crap i love my savage a 100 times more besides the factory support sucks 2 tanks after break in was complete the clutchs wore out servo broke was getting smoked by t maxxs for the extra 30 bucks go hpi

i have a 24.7 (right out of a mammoth included clutch and manifold) in my buggy and the clutch is great. the engine is very powerful. the savage is a little more durable than the mammoth but the mammoth handels better (cuz its a truggy). but the mammoth will take a harder hit than the savage and still come out unbroken. i think the savage is a great truck (i had one), there is a great aftermarket for it. but there are also SOME upgrades for the mammoth. if you want speed and handeling go mammoth, if you want smash and crash and customiaztion, go savage. and hpi customer service is equal to xtm customer service (through my experience, which includes somewhere around 25 calls).

they r both great truck personally i would get a savage cause im a savage fan
but ive seen the mammoth go and boy that thing is fast and has good acceleration

i really think the mammoth is better because of its speed and durablility. so the mammoth is better overall, no question.

i like the mammoth cause i drive one almost every other day. never driven a savage but have the tmaxx. love the speed and for the most part the upgrades are there that you would want.

mammoth all the way. it is the fastest one out there(52 MPH according to RCCAR ACTION) and with minor upgrates ($150) is as durable as the savage.

lax195 all I can say is great post.It sounds so unbiased it almost makes me want a mammoth.While I cant believe it is as durable as the savage it sounds like most people who posted here think its great.

All I can say is that there both tied. The Mammoth has its speed and the Savage has its durability, so all we can do is wait for more people to vote. LET THE PEOPLE DECIDE!

I have a Mammoth, and I really like it so far. It is faster that the Savage. My neighbour has a Savage and it sure does seem more durable. They are both nice trucks.

what do u all have to get to make the mammoth as durable as the savage and can a mammoth beat a savage in a drag race if the savage has a picco .26 i just want ot now cause thats what my freinds got and i ordered a mammoth off ebay 255 pluse i has aluminum a-arms.

Umm you will definatly beat me in the long rune but i will smoke u off the line. Savage already has one of the better acceleration stock. Plus the picco .26 has so much low end torq, and my ribbed pipe is all about low end torq, So that setup will be hard to beat off the line.
