any laws for the operation of land r/c vehicles would probably be at the city level, wouldn't they? so i think you'd have to check your local city ordinances

but i'm just guessing, maybe somebody knows more

Just use your truck like crazy, then when the cops come you will find out what law you broke and probably only get a warning.

i'd think as long as you weren't trespassing or driving at obscene hours there's not much anyone could do.

Mostly you'll want to be concerned about noise levels. If you're breaking the noise ordinance level well then they can definitely write you up for "disturbing the peace". It's never happened to me but just take care and think when you're out having fun.

You might even want to go below the city level if you live in a community of sorts. You know, the type of development that has silly rules about what you can and cannot do without their permission. My community has rules on everything from when you can mow your lawn (not before or after 9 AM/PM) to where you can and cannot put a tv antenna.

I'd worry more about officious community board members than the police. More often than not, if it's ain't illegal, the police will stay and watch (pretty much anything involving motors, fire or potato guns). Your mileage may vary.

yes there are laws
in Long Beach you cant have any nitro because it is a carsinogen (spelling?) and it eats away the ashfualt. but moast of the time they role up ( and they have and will ) they just want to drive the thing and then they let u go on about your buiseness.
