Eh. The 4 strokes are nothing special... They just nice crisp responce and they are not nitro guzzelers.
If they do, I wouldnt buy it just because of the 4 stroke... They are nothing compared to the 2 strokes... The only problem with the 2 strokes is that they waste so much fuel and power. Inst like 30% of the fuel it takes in and power it produces shot out the tuned pipe? And like another 20% wasted somewhere els? They need to fix that...
I just like them for there nice crisp throttle responce ....

4 stroke engines has 1 problem...low RPM's.
Most 4 stroke don't spin past 10,000 RPM's, where most 2 strokes can spin upwards of 40,000.
Plus 4 strokes add more maintenance and parts.
I'll happily stick to 2 strokes as they offer more RPM and power.

Kyosho did with their 4 stroke super 10. It came with the OS 26.
ORIGINAL: Bobby26
Do you think any companies will come out with a four stroke production car or truck that customers can buy?

I hope they do. I would definitely buy it.
4 strokes reach more than 10,000rpms, they go upto 22,000rpms. Check the .26 engine out

I know they are still low but that is better than than 10,000. Besides with the right gearing the are fast.

BAH.. why the hell cant they talk about Torque..
HALF HORESEPOWER?? Comparing horsepower numbers between 2 and 4 strokers is like comparing a gasoline engine and a Diesel..
500 HP?? On a FIRE TRUCK? Thats it!!!! (forget the 1500ft/lb of torque...)
ram

lol buggies-r-us.
RPM's alone really don't mean much if not anything. I'd rather have an engine with consistent power throughout a small range than all over the place but reaching 45,000. Remember RPM's can be compensated for by proper gearing, but if the torque isn't there either then you'll not have enough power to run the larger gears.
I might buy a truck that has a 4 cycle in it purely for fun and to say I have something with a 4-cycle in it. It would be interesting to drive around and compare but that's about it. It wouldn't be my main rig but something to toss around for a change.
