Savage 25 Problem Please Help
I just finished breaking in my Savage 25. I went half way idle on my first tank, because I couldn't get it to idle because it kept on wanting to shut off. So when it got warmer it was able to idle to about 30 sec's before it shut off again. The next tank I lightly drove it up and down my street varying the speeds keeping it mostly slow, but hitting full throttle a little bit. Third the same just alittle faster, fourth same but even faster, and fifth I kept it on full throttle almost the whole time. I havn't adjusted the screws yet for tunning, but my Savage doesn't go any faster than 20 mph. What went wrong can you please help me out?

The factory settings are usually too rich for it to shift into second. After you complete your break-in cycle start leaning out the hsn.

RE: Savage 25 Problem Please Help
Has the break in for the Savage changed with the new .25? My .21 had alot more to it than that for a break in routine. You said you were hitting full throttle but only briefly on the 2nd tank? Seems awfully early to be doing that. Makes me wonder about the diffs having a good chance to seat properly along with the tranny gears.
