Sounds to me like you are totally clueless. Have no direction, or opinion on the matter. Absolutely ZERO thought went into this so far. Now that i've been completely rude, and useless in this thread, may i make a suggestion??? Find some people in your area, and see if they'll let you hang out while they bash. You should also go to your LHS, and see what they support.

This will start you out- don't start three dupe threads in three different forums. We hate that.

Another BIG factor that will help decide, is $$$$$$$$. How much can you spend? Then find out what accessories you need, and deduct that from your total. That will give you a good idea of what you can buy.

Here is a link to almost all of the MT's out right now (made by yours truly)... Do some research on the ones you like. They are all pretty good. I have costs and accessories there too. Get an idea of what you want and what you want to spend, then we can help you a bit.

So from the sounds of that you don't plan on racing much do you?

You can narrow down the field by either stating what you are looking for or what you aren't. Being as specific as possible helps us to better determine which truck would best suit you and what you want to do with it.

I bought a CEN MT2 and all the necessary stuff to run it for about ***09/11/2004 09/10/2004 NOVELTY WORLD $432.33*** well, there it is from my actual credit card statement online. This was my CEN MT2, a rechargable battery kit (12AA's and a charger), a gallon of 20% nitro, a fuel bottle, a glow plug igniter, tire glue(super glue), and after run oil.

Since then I have spent about $20 on replacement parts, $100 on wheels/tires, $40 on tools, $30 on failsafes, $100 on miscellaneous junk that I probably didn't need.

I would say that this kit that I bought is pretty close to your budget. I can hook you up w/ the same thing and shipping for about $500, (the stuff I got for $432, and I'll throw in the stuff you will need like a failsafe, and some replacement diff cups, (i'll upgrade the diff cups for you) and a 4/way tool.)

Let me know if you are interested.

I know everyone is going to bash this truck. It isn't top of the line, but I have had a blast w/ mine so far and have had very few problems w/ it. I know now what to look for when something goes wrong so I can upgrade yours to prevent the problems I had.

Like I said, for between $500 and $550 (depending on shipping) I can hook you up.

I had to choose an mt by surfing through TONS of previous threads. I think you should do the same.

Or you could try to help him out like the rest of us and not be a jerk.

But that's cool too.

In that case get a 1/8th scale buggy
they are the most durable of all the RC Cars or trucks

Something like a hyper7 PBS

$500-$550 for an MT2? You must be high ndeepoffroad... That puts him in range of everything out right now. For $500-550 he can have a Revo, Maxx, Savage, Raptor, Warhead, Dominator, Blazer SSK, Pirate and shoot- pretty much everything even almost an LST.

I guess you are trying to help though. I have seen the MT2 for $279 online... Add another $50 for a starter kit, and that is $329 in total. Now, that is a good idea for a starter.

Hey, I'm just quoting what I paid here in Russellville, AR. I don't know what you can get it for elsewhere. I was also including shipping and a couple upgrades. That puts him in range for other cars, but that would only cover the price of the carI am including all the stuff and SHIPPING...since he said he lives in BFE.

I paid 299.00 for my MT2 but that's at a LHS and they kinda rip ya anyway.[:@]

Cen MT 2 259.00 or 279.00 ehobbies.com With rechargable glow starter, spare glow plugs some fuel your probabally looking into 350.00 to 375.00. Plus ehobbies has great mail order parts support for this truck. It is rugged and very fast, parts are reasonable to. Just my 2 cents!! Get 0S #8s they run a little hotter but wrk great in this truck!!!!

I would say get something you will spend more time driving than fixing. I would say Revo, TNX, or Savage!
