RE: Choose your weapon
I don't know about short life but, I do know it is dam fast, holds a tune and starts every time! Fantom .27!
I have seen the RB .28 run in person and it has plenty of power, starts and holds an idle good. Would I pay $300-$350 for one NO! I could buy a new Fantom and rebuild it 2 times for that and the Fantom has a faster top end.

RE: Choose your weapon
I own an RB .28....too much power for me. It's up for sale on an Auction site currently.
Learn more about my auction of my RB .28 here: http://tinyurl.com/44vpz
My Loss, just too much power for my race track.

LOL The RB will easy pull in 9-10 gallons before needing a rebuild. So thats like 9 rebuilds of a Fantom [:'(]

RE: Choose your weapon
Speed and Useable track power are 2 different things.
I could care less about more top end...the RB .28 has too much low and mid power for my driving.
A Fantom in the same vehicle might pull 2-3 more mph, but you better believe the down low power is going to win a race out of a corner, not top end. It's the low end power that allows you to mash the throttle and fly over jumps far enough, not top end.
I was joking about rebuilds after 1 gallon...got you guys all riled up though.

RE: Choose your weapon
I just wanted to make sure you were using the nitro to feed your engines and not in shot glasses, thats all
And to explain what i meant by short life, Fantoms are blessed if they get 6-8 gallons, people abuse the heck out of them. I also meant that compared to other race bred engines, fantoms are a little shorter than the rest but u do get your moneys worth.
