No more Bling Bling!!!!
I decided these look better than the gold, so the gold came off today. These are really nice. They cost me quite alot, but they sure are nice. Check em out. Not much to say about em, just more shocks...

Nice.
But has your plethora of new parts (hopups and/or replacements, like driveshafts & diffs) given you a truck you can depend on? Have you even driven it much in the last month or so?
Dust collector or dirt collector?
Dean

RE: No more Bling Bling!!!!
Dean, the last time it was out was last monday. My goal that day was to run the LST, and run it for a loooong time. I had updated the truck with the cvd's, axles, and longer screws with lock nuts. So at this point, my truck is updated. I also had the sway bar kit installed that day. I ran the truck for several tanks that night. Good clean laps. I was very impressed with performance, and handling. I left there happy with the LST. However!!!! That night i had brought home diff cases from the hobby shop. I also received the silver diff cases i had ordered. So aside from the fact the truck was a muddy mess, i had new parts to put in. As i started tearing it apart, i saw things looked good. Front diff was perfect. Installed the not soo pretty diff cases, and moved on to the rear. When i opened up the rear diff case, fluid was everywhere, the screws had backed out of the diff house, and the housing was notched badly. Ugh....Very frustrating to see that. I did however take note that the screws they were using were short, very short. So that day i got on horizon, and ordered some new diff parts, and some longer Losi screws for the diff. Its all back together, and i had intentions of testing it out tonight. I decided not to go to the track, and spent some time with my wife, and daughter. I would race it sunday, but i really dont think my pinions on the clutch bell will make it. They are badly worn too. I have new ones, but i wanna run these dead. On a practice night! lol

They are the XTM giant series thorn wheels (gun metal), and the XTM BRT tires. As funny as it is, BRT stands for BIG RACING TIRE.

Oh, and Dean, i guess to answer your question in short term. No, i dont feel its reliable. If i did, i would race it. At this point i still feel it needs the 2nd gear cover, and the hardened pinions for the clutch bell to be reliable. And if my diff blows after rebuild, then i have another problem to deal with. We'll see how it goes.

Therm, Those shock bodies are real nice!!! I got these from CRAZY NUT!!! ALUM BODYPOSTS!! I'M such a sucker!! 16 beans two day free shipping can't BEAT CRAZY NUT RACING!!! I have been lucky with my diffs. I'm still gonna get alum diff cases but i'm gonna wait till CRAZY NUT RACING or NEW ERA come out with theirs. Also I use a little thread lock on the screws that go into the plastic also. It holds well and you can still get them off!! Mounted up the new BODZ BODY also

I agree 100%. Wait til you see them in person! I love this hard anodized stuff. I have decided on doing the entire truck with the Losi hard anodized chassis parts, and skids. It should look real good. After that, i think a Picco .26 WERKS is gonna go on this truck.

For about a minute it had some gold shocks. These wheels and tires are way too big and heavy for a Revo. They are NOT standard maxx size.

Bamaracer, yes it would definitely be better off with standard bow ties, or 40 series.
Tamiya kid, i did not make it to practice this week at all. So i havent tested the new shocks yet. I will run it next week.
