RE: savage vs. warhead
well the warhead isnt out so no one can do anything more then speculate but I think the warhead is gonna be a truck people better watch out for. Its a different breed then the Savage, its got alot more adjustablity,....its got potential to be a feirce competitor on the track. Also just has alot of new technology, its just taking all the good RC MT ideas of the past and making them even better I think. Go to the warheadmt.com site, check it out.....there are a ton of great pics and specs. I like how it comes apart too. I have a revo and its awesome but I think ill be getting a warhead when it comes out. The savage on the other hand is a proven basher, its durable and with the right motor and gearing can be fast.....The warhead isnt expected till Jan which sucks, if you can wait id do that and compare them....if not you answered your own question

i tihnk that reverse system will be something that racers wouldnt want...and most basher dont have it either..i dont see any reaon pputting that in, its only weight to me. It sounds like a good truck, i do think it wil have its bugs but thats to see when some1 gets it.

RE: savage vs. warhead
Hi
Get the Savage now and get the Warhead later on next year after they have worked some of the bugs out of it. Thats what I plan on doing. In-fact I just ordered me a Savage SS Kit..

RE: savage vs. warhead
my opinion im not to thrilled about the warhead. maybe because im savage standards are way to high. well the engine has the same output as the S25, the body kind of looks weak, i dont know. if i were you i would get the savage SS/25 now and wait to see all the bugs the warhead has. only has a few things different from the savage. reverse, better high torque servo, thats about it. LOL

RE: savage vs. warhead
i wouldn't say the engine has the same output as the Savage....yes the S-25 claims 2.5 hp but its not even close likely 1.6 hp in reality...as the XTM pro only dynoed 2.5hp with a poor pipe and a XTM pro is almost double the power of the S-25.........so if the warhead has a true 2.5 hp it will be miles more powerful then the crappy S-25.......IMO the S-25 is almost the weakest big block money can buy....it is nowhere near 2hp thats for sure...talk about overated not only in power but RPMs as well. as the XTM has less rated rpm and it will walk away from a S-25 like its in reverse

RE: savage vs. warhead
I have a Savage25 and love it. But I too am looking at the Warhead and asked Tower to email me when available. But I'm also looking at the XTM XLB which is not a MT, just a humongous buggy with a 28 engine. I would like to see a full blown test before I buy anything. Not really wild about being the guinea pig on new machines. If you can't wait for a test, buy the Savage. You can't go wrong!!! So many toys, so little cash.

i love my Savage.....the truck is so tough its almost unbeleivable........i have had 2 T-Maxx's as well and they are toys compared to the Savage...my only complaint is the S-25 was too weak for me...my buddy has a 24/7 T-Maxx and it ripps, so a stock savage looked stupid slow....but when i put a XTM pro in my savage it was much better

The one thing I noticed is both you and I had enough interest to go to Tower and look. Does this mean you are getting one of these bad boys?

RE: savage vs. warhead
I just got rc drivers january issue, and saw the REX xsp .28 that they dyno tested. it looks really powerful, in the high 90's in oz in of toque. has anyone seen this motor in action? looks like a great motor.
