Default MGT question.

My lhs is now starting to sell the MGT again. So im going to get one instead of a T-Maxx. My question is, What wheels/tires will work on this truck? Also, How do the hub carriers hold up? Im thinking of saving up some money on the side for extra a-arms, hub cariers, and maybe some bumpers but im not too sure what to get. When I do get it, im deffinitly changing the shocks to aluminum because I dont like plastic ones. Help?

Thanks.

Oh yea, my lhs isn't open today so this is why im asking here.

any maxx rims will fit, velocity 6, mamba, anything..., and theres in new era some alum. stuff for it like bumpers, arms and shocks but the arms are tooo strong u wouldn't need alum. !

Well, im gonna buy some extra hubs and a-arms just incase because I might drive half into a tree or something lol. And are you sure any maxx rim will fit? if thats true then my whole lhs will always have wheels/tires instock for me! Im not a big fan of new era, but i will look around I guess.

heres my list so far on towerhobbies:

Hot Bodies Blue Shocks T-Maxx (8)
Associated Upper Suspension Arm Monster GT (2)
Associated Lower Suspension Arm Monster GT (2)
Associated Air Cleaner Foam Monster GT
Golden Horizons Cooling Head MGT Blue
Associated Steering Block/Hub Carrier Monster GT
Associated Spur Gear 49T Monster GT
Associated Exhaust Manifold Spring Monster GT
Associated Axle Pins Monster GT (4)

Combine: $148.69

Im not sure about the GH engine head though, it looks more for bling so i might keep it on my list.

Im gonna order the MGT from here:

http://www.ultimatehobbies.com//p584.html

It's like $50 cheaper.

Other then that is there really anything I should look out for on this MT? Its going to be my first one so im gonna try to get all the info i can about it.

Thanks.

the MGT engine rocks don't mod it, now i have a 24.7 pro in mine its like the undefeatable MT lol, y don't u buy like a new body like the hummer coz the stock body is kinda dull !!, i have on mine too velocity 6 with road rage tires, thats for the onroad and for the offroad i just ordered some maxx paddle tires, I'd get some body posts coz the plastick ones break easily on roll overs, and if i was u I'd cancel the last 5 things and buy some alum. bumpers !

heh ok, if the engine head is fine then i will take off the GH one. i want to keep the spur because just incase i might mess mine up. I do not like the Hummer 2 body, i seriously think those things look like crap.[:'(] I was looking at this body though:

I have only heard bad things about the Hot Bodies shocks. Have you thought about Integy shocks? Here is a link to the site

Hmmm i thought id do something like this:

Get 2 sets of these:
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGHA3&P=7

And get 2 sets of these:
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFVB3&P=7

So then all i would need to do is transfer the parts from the plastic shocks onto the new almunim ones, cap them with the new caps and be on my way. Im gonna try to get some factory hop-ups on this thing.

What do you think?

I have heard only GOOD replys about Hot Bodies... funny how NO ONE posted negative when I asked for positive and negative feedback. Turns out, the shocks on my truck are actually the Hot Bodies.. given they are purty, I have another full 8 set instead of the 4 that are on it on order.

Have you totaled the parts up? I mean with $20 more you could have the MSR5 shocks from Integy.

Your shop sells the shocks. Has anyone bought them? Can't they tell you about them?
