Yes, it works. I have a Lynx 3D and use it for this. Get into the menu for the Aux channel (channel 3) and you will see it has 5 steps. Activate (or +) Step 1 and Step 5. Inhibit (or-) Steps 2,3,and 4. This will give your 3rd channel 100% travel when you push the Aux + and Aux - buttons.

Yes it can be done but it's very hard to explain online
you must use the AUX feature
The AUX/3rd channel has 5 points of adjustment, but you'll only want to ue 2 then you'll use the AUX key on the face of the transmiter to toggle between those to points, you'll want to INH (inhibit) the other 3 points.

The process of setting the points is explained on page 10 of the manual
you'll want point 1 (Forward gear)set at +100%
and point 2 (reverse) set at -100%
to start with and adjust from there
Points 3, 4, and 5 are are set INH
Then use the + and - AUX buttons to toggle back and forth

I hope this helps,,, I've never done it myself,, but from my understanding of how the computer radios work it should work

Good luck

Hey Thanks!!!

I think I can figure it out from there, now how do you work it with the throttle trigger?

sorry about the simple questions I've had the controller now for over a year but never had a need for the 3rd chanel till now!

Thanks again for all the help

Get an E-Maxx

JK,, the throttle/brake will only do that you need an extra channel to shift

You can't man...the Throttle only controls the Throttle and brake....on a nitro vehicle.

You need to use the AUX feature to use the 3rd channel.

Yes, you will have to push the Aux+ and the Aux- buttons to shift. If your hands are large like mine, you can learn to stretch your steering wheel hand to reach without taking your hand off the wheel.
