Default My 1st Clodbuster

Heres my 1st ever clodbuster build up. Ive had 1/10 scale electric Cars & Trucks but never an MT of any kind. My buddy Wicked has always had a bunch of trucks and he got me interested in MTs (also got me into RC in general). So i finally sold off the XXX-S G+ and my XXX-T MFE and put it towards a TTR Ripper i found on ebay

here are the pics he provided:

Since i recieved it i changed all screws from Phillips to Stainless Steel hex from rcscrewz.com. I also got some axles from Wicked, and bought some wheels & rims off ebay, which i recieved today!

Electronics im going to use are:
-Futaba 2PL Radio System
-Hitec HS-5645MG Digital Servo
-Novak Super Rooster
-Team Orion Rush 17T Mod Motors

Ill be updating as i get things thrown on & painted. thanks for looking!
heres how it looks today:

Got my electronics in recently. (mind the lense flare) As you can see, ive got the motors hanging down, as i dont have any mounts. Does anyone know what size screw i need to mount them? I could just order some TTR Motor Mounts, but id like to drive this before 2005

Looks good man, what would really be sweet is if you dropped some purple shocks and purple screws on their.

EDIT----

Nevermind the link, apperently they no longer sell purple screws.

I've already replaced all my screws with stainless steel. Im not a fan of aluminum screws, considering how many ive broken. Shocks are something im considering, but not purple

Ive never really had much trouble with breaking the aluminum screws (I think Ive broke a total of 3), stripping them out has been my problem, but now that Ive better hex drivers (the losi ones) that hasn't been much of a problem either. Either way I've been going to titanium screws on my cars, they only come in plain silver though

BTW what motors are you running? I got the crappy stock tamiya ones in mine, good runtime, decent torque, but not very fast at all. Itll get the front wheels up with the stock gearing, but it wont "ride" a wheelie. Only tops out around 15mph, not very fast []

stock cans as well, with an 8 cell 2400 pack. I had some 15T orion rush motors, but the runtime was quite low. Im not racing, just having fun so i dont really need it to be a wheelie monster. The longer i can play around, the better
