Default OFNA Pirate .21 VS> HPI Nitro RS4 MT2

Hi all, Having decided I don't have enough real cars to fix and break, I want to get a nitro truck to beat the hell out of. My sister is gonna get me one for x-mas! I'm a newbie so was hopin to get all your experts advice out there, #1 priority is durable (very, there will be no mercy shown) #2 is fun to drive, #3 is FAST
I want 4x4 & 1/10th scale, So it's narrowed down to 2 choices;
HPI Nitro RS4 MT2
-or-
OFNA Pirate .21
All replies are appreciated!

well the rs4 is more of a statuim truck and its a little under powered. and the monster pirate is a good truck but a little on the small side, but its fast as hell. another choise is the one tenth scale nitro powered 4x4 that i call the tmaxx.

pirate:
goods=fast durable
bads=little to no aftermarket support, small

rs4
goods=durable after market support
bads=underpowered slow.

tmaxx
goods=very fast light reverse
bads=weak plastic small engine (notice how i didnt say underpowered)

also another choise is the RS4 MT2 SS, which is a suped up verson. it has a better engine better tires better plastic and some extra aluminum.

in summary i would choose the RS4 MT2 SS or the T-maxx

actully it is alot bigger than 1/10 scale. oh and i dont car what traxxas says the tmaxx is a one tenth scale. they jus did that so they can say that they have the most powerful engine in the class[:'(]. anyway 1/10s range for 13in to 18in. 1/8s run form 18.5in to like 25in.

I just got a Monster Pirate. Really fast and seem very durable. Mine was used and I had to do some work but gave it its first real trial run tonight and it screams.

I own a HPI MT2 18SS and I love this truck.

I don't own a TMAXX but I know they are very good\tough\easy to get parts for but everyone and their mother has one.

I don't own a HPI Savage but I do know they are hands down the toughest basher out there but everyone and their brother has one of these and they look very clumsy when I go bashing with people who own them. Parts are plentiful through.

I recommend getting the HPI MT2 18ss Not the RTR you will have a lot of fun with this truck.

But that’s just me

Monster pirate is OLD!! like 1998! It based off the pirate buggy and the Mp can not handel any more power than a mild 21 or the diffs will explode there very crapy design and the cnc upgrades are $100 each Go for a savage/lst/mgt/sut ect....
