Default Twin Force Configuration

Here is my current thinking in terms of parts:

Twin Force Truck Kit - $200 shipped from TowerHobbies

Servo - Either Airtronics 94358 ($100) or Hitec 645 or 945 ($40 -$75)

Radio - Airtronics MX3 ($99) or Futaba 2PL ($75)

BL Motor (optional) - Hacker B50 10L - $199

ESC - Novak Super Duty $150 or (Warrior 99amp - $199 or Schulze 18.97 - $350 if BL)

Batteries - 6 cell BB 1.16-1.17 unmatched packs - $75(pair) x 3 ($225)
7 cell BB 1.16-1.17 unmatched packs - $110(pair) x 3 ($330)

Charger - Duratrax Intellipeak - $75

TOTAL (Brushed w/stock motors) = $885 - $990
TOTAL (Brushless ) = $1125 - $1380

prices depending on battery pack sizes and ESC chosen for BL

What do you guys think?
Any other recommendations for current parts?
Any recommendations for additional parts?
Should I go straight to Brushless?

not bad, dont think theres anyother parts, spring set..maybe? i would go to brushless, you only need one motor, and theres no cleaning of the motor you need to and you dont have to replace the brushes

Default RE: Twin Force Configuration

Well I got my truck kit, and I started assembling it

I've also been doing some more motor research.

Now my list includes:

Hacker B50 9L
Plettenberg Maxximum or Bigmaxximum [X(]
Lehner 1930 or 1940

Feigao/Nemesis 9L (If I want to go cheap )

Anybody own or have used any of these motors or have any opinions about them?

Truck - Kyosho Twin Force - $200
Servo - Airtronics 358 - $100
Radio - Airtronics MX3 - $100
ESC - Warrior 9918 - $200
Battery - Probably a mix of 6, 7 cell BB NimH, and 14.8v Li-Poly ( 1 at first, very expensive!!) ~$300 - ~$500
Charger - I need a good charger that will charge both NiMh and Li-Poly, any suggestions? ~$100-$~200

Why are the batteries an chargers so damn expensive! The truck itself is $600, and i'm gonna spend that much to power it as well [&o]
