Just Got this baby for Christmas and cant seem to find a post with
any input on any real mandatory hop-up for the MGT!
What are the first 2 thing needed to be replaced from an actual MGT owner besides an engine swap? The shocks seem OK I only can see getting a new steering servo its a dog compared to even my stock

ahh i see you got the meats also.. they sure do look sweet on the mgt! i have a set also..the above are great upgrades, but i would also get factory team shock caps(the stock caps can blow off), and some factory team clamping hexs.. alot of people upgrade to the rpm arm's, but i like the stock arms better since they beefed up the weak spots.. also the rpm arm's limit you to a lower ride height

Are the Pro-Line Power-strokes worth the money
or should I buy AE Shock upgrades or is there another better complete set
for a good price?

Those new tires and wheels wont move so well with AA batteries...get rechargable hump pack 5 sell battery....

I got a Pack ready to drop in already but have not put in yet i put the AA in on Christmas day and could not believe how weak the servos were! I still have not ran it yet though

Make sure if your using the stock radio and receiver that you take the power wire that comes from the switch and move it from the battery slot to the 4th channel slot in the reviever. This bypasses the Battery Eliminator Circuit (BEC) and gives you 6 instead of 4.8 volts to the servos. The stock steering servo works just fine with this mod. It's like getting a hopup for free. I like my XTM 24.7 PRO alot. Its a powerful engine thats great for racing and bashing. It pushes my MGT wayyyyyyyyy better than the stocker ever could. Cause of the power i surely now have to get better tires for traction. This thing makes the stockers spin too much. It also runs pretty low temps also. I havent had any problems with mine what so ever and I have about a gallon and few tanks ran through it. The head on it is pretty big, so i had to cut the body a lil to make it fit better. Thats about the only problem i had with it. Im running mine pretty rich also and it still pops the truck on its back if im WOT from start. I never seen a Mach .26 perform so i cant compare it, but im very happy.

To be honest i have heard both good and bad things about the power strokes on the MGT, but its up to you.. do some more research and you might find that they will work for your needs.. IMO the stock shocks work great, but i have installed the factory team caps.. on other forums people have also used the factory team bodies and caps with great results.. as far as other shocks there are traxxas big bores which a guy on the www.monster****rum.com uses them on his MGT, but he only does truck pulling with his MGT.. so i guess my point is are they good for jumping? who knows? and there are integy piggy backs.. alot of people that install them swap them back out for the factory team shocks.. so take that for what its worth..

can u help me with my 24.7 pro in my mgt when i start it every thing is ok when it idles more than 6 seconds it stalls i must keep accellerating so it won't stall !!, i have about 1 gallon thru it and i had this problem since break in, can u give me ur carb settings ?
