RE: Official Truggy Thread
It's the T-maxx crowd pleaser,,a ST body would be too small
I'm running a 12/62 on the small, tight track I race at mostly, on the bigger tracks I run a 13/62
But that was with the .21 size motors I was using
I just installed a NR 528,,,I may have to loose the 12 tooth for good when this baby breaks in,,,it has 3 tanks through it and it seams very fast and torquey

RE: Official Truggy Thread
Actually, I believe Hot Bodies build the Lightning Stadium as a truggy from the ground up, but used buggy parts where they could if it didn't sacrafice anything. The chassis is longer than that of a buggy, it's got longer arms than a buggy, etc. The GS SUT truly is a converted buggy. They took a Storm and changes what was necessary to make it work with a truck body and monster truck wheels/tires, which amounts to a larger spur, different shock towers, different bumpers, wheel extenders, and slightly different center diff plate. Not much else! But it works really well.

The difference with the lightning truggy is it has extremely wide arms, and is pretty much built from the ground up. It has the truggy stance, but it is a pure race designed truck. My truggy is an ofna pirate converted to dominator. Also has lots of hopups including a picco comp .21 engine.

That body is from the Duratrax nitro Demon. Clear never seems to be available.
Honestly, I've only run with the ST tires. Just to keep it 'buggy like' for handling.
It accelerates with the st wheels very well, though, so I would guess the MT's would be fine.
Here it is with the st wheels... Very true to scale looking in person. I love my SST.
