Although I don't see them in the picture, I am hoping you have ziptied down your airfilter to your carb, otherwise you will automatically lose from a fried motor.

You've gotten luck enough to have not knocked off your airfilter then. Consider yourself extremely lucky. The whole purpose of having the filter is to not let dirt into the carb, but let air in. If you do not ziptie it down to the carb, you are leaving yourself exposed to the possibility of the filter coming off from vibrations, a crash, jumping, whatever. If you get dirt in that carb, kiss the engine goodbye.

Agreed.

Although, it's not the LHS guy's truck, so he wouldn't care if he ran it with or without the filter. Shows you how much some of these guys care. (I said some, not all. THe guys and one hot chick at my LHS seem to care almost to the point where it is like a mother nagging for the kid to put a coat on, LOL)

well wouldnt buying a supercharger do the same thing wouldnt that fry your engine? what about the motorsaver air filter like mine with the screen on it wouldnt that fry ur motor because when ur running it against the wind its putting alot of air threw the screen and into ur engine?

Thanks,
Mako3

Thats why you have an oiled foam element. It allows the air to pass into the carb and the dirt sticks to the oil on the foam. Superchargers don't work. Let the flaming begin on that one, I'm waiting.
