You could do a truggy conversion on a 1/8th scale buggy which would be the best in the snow.... Might now have the ground clearance but with Tmaxx or savage tires on a buggy, that would have a nice weight per square whatever you want for the snow traction. (Not breaking through) I love my buggy but it does not climb that well due to the abrupt power of a WS7

Kyle,
I have a MT2 and I really like it. If your LHS sells CEN products, this would be a good nitro beginner for you to get and learn to drive/work on. There are lots of little things you can do to upgrade this truck and it is really fast (IMO, I beat a Rustler the other day that was supposedly hopped up or somethin). I like mine alot and it has been really tough. I got mine for $300 and then got all the necessary stuff to drive it for another $100. I put some chrome rims and IMEX Swamp Dogs on mine (about $100 upgrade) and they make it grab and go like night and day compared to stock tires!...
Hope you get a 4x4, you'll like it alot better.
GOod luck,
Branndon

I'm looking at one of those myself. Are they really that bad on a track? I'm also looking at the t-maxx. I'm planning on going w/either one of the two.

Boys & Girls, my Cen MT2 cost me 259.00, and this is a great cheap truck for cuffing, runs like a bat out of hell, and it is really tough, not to mention fast. I got lots of other monsters, but I like this truck because it did not cost an arm, leg, or left nut, like my lst, savage tnx, revo, etc. Just to name a few, you'll do things with it you would not think of trying with your 400 dollar trucks simply because it is a good cheap beater. Im not knocking the other trucks. My second reccomnedation would a Tamiya TNX talk about a fast small block monster this bad boy moves, is a great hillclimber, its outstanding and tough. The revo is excellent to, its built really good and can take a beating, but i take the tnx over it. I like my savage but the center of gravity is a little high, it rolls easy at high speed on pavment, but still a good truck
Good luck

here is the order I would classify your choices from best to least:
1. Savage ss/25 rtr
2. X factor
3. tmaxx (do not recommend, It is not a good truck in my experience with it)
