Default WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY AT AR TECH U!

Well, it is 55F and sunny here in Russellville, AR and it is a wonderful day to go bash...so that is what I did. I was driving my truck around campus in a big open green area and a dude came up and asked if I was going to be there a while...I was, so he soon returned with his Traxxas Rustler 2wd ST. I hadn't really ever driven/seen one, so I was impressed with its wheelies and good cornering.

The dude wanted to know how big a motor mine had, and I told him that it was just the .16 CEN engine. Then he asked if it was fast, and I said I wasn't sure how fast it would go, but that it was quick. So we drove around for a while and warmed them up, and then we did a side by side drag, AND I WON!! I was impressed that my truck with its bigger wheels and tires beat that ST with the .26, but it did. (Might have had something to do w/ my 2spd tranny! ;D)

Anyway, just thought I would brag about the nice weather down here in the South, because alot of you are probably buried in 4ft of snow right now!! ;D HAR HAR HAR! And brag about the fun I got to have today.

PS, I didn't even break anything and I ran a quart of fuel through her. [>:][X(]

man, that's what he said... he said that is what all traxxas except a couple come w/ factory....it was a fairly stock Rustler.

I'm not saying that is what was in it, but that is what he told me...what motor should it have in it? He has had it since Xmas and he has burned a gallon of fuel already. He has been driving electric ST's up until this nitro ST.

It's cold in Bama? It is NICE here, but it was cold last week. It is supposed to be 60 ALL WEEKEND AND through next Tue here..HA HA!

So really what should that ST have, the motor didn't look like a .26, but he was the first person I had met on campus w/ a nitro that wanted to bash w/ me and I didn't want to piss him off first thing..LOL

LORD a rustler with a .26, he must have metal gears in his tranny, otherwise all his gears would be stripped

Yeah, we had a ice storm come through last saturday. It's been in the low 40's since. I can't stand cold. If we had snow I would actually try to run my truck and freeze my butt off, but no snow. Revo's hibernating.

the rusty should have a .15 aka the trx 2.5. The older model has the .15 pro.

hate to burst your bubble, but NO traxxas comes with a .26. They all have .15s in them. (is the t-maxx 2.5 a .15 motor though? *confused about that one*)

why should it have that? rustys can have .18 and up, or .18 or down, but if he had a .26, he must have CNCed some metal gears for the tranny

The T-Maxx drop in .21 engines should bolt right into a Rustler. If it will fit in a Maxx it should fit in a rusty with minimal modification.

not really, the tmax has room around the where the engine mounts, the rustler has a fuel tank holder, then has a tranny brase that goes over the flywheel, and all these things can limit the size of the engine you can put in there

i know those engines CAN fit. he was trying to determine what engine was actually being used by the rustler.

"man, that's what he said... he said that is what all traxxas except a couple come w/ factory....it was a fairly STOCK Rustler"

i'm guessing the other guy didn't know what engine he was running in his rusty.

a .26 is really hard to fit, because you have the tranny, tranny brace, and fuel tank holder in the way
