CEN GENISIS POWER!!!
Hi All
I just modified a friends 46 in the Cen Genisis, It used to go ok before but now its just insane !! Thais may not seem a problem but what ive found is that all the power sems to go to the front end, the tires balloon out like a tractor wheel !!
anyhoo how do i get more power to the rear ? is it a diff oil thing or is there an adjustment in the tranny ?
thanks Guys !!

Thats the power unloading at the front wheels, as the front end lifts off the ground. You can tune that by going real heavy on the diff fluid in the center diff, or putting the diff locker back in the center diff. Both will add extra stress to the rear drive train. The heavier diff fluid would be the better of the two options.

One thing I found that helps is to put the shock spacers in the rear and not the front. That gives you better weight distribution on take off. Plus it also improves turning radius and gives it a much better launch on ramps. It will feel like a new truck and take a few minutes to adjust to the way it handles after putting them in. But Thermal is right if you put the locker in, be ready to replace parts on a more frequent basis.

If you do tinker with it, see if you can get the idle a little more responsive. It might be the servo, or dinky RTR radio, but I notice when I adjust the throttle trim, its not very responsive at low end. I get about 500 rpm jumps in the adjustments from the trim. I dont know if its the carb or radio. Has anyone else noticed this?

RE: CEN GENISIS POWER!!!
I have a genesis that I have not been using. The carb. keeps coming aloose, and know that I have it secure, the top is loose from the neck.
I would still like to get the engine mod done. Would you be able to do mine?

yeah sure i can do your engine. I do live and work in australia ... for a 46 i charge 70 USD plus shipping.. the carb can be fixed by modding the tie clip in the recieveing collar. what you do is take it out and grind the ends that meet back by about 1mm each side. then when you put them back in they will have more grip on the carb collar..
