Default upgrade Tmaxx or buy savage?

I have a older narrow tmaxx. It has all aluminum chassis parts like braces skid plates ... I put a os .18cvr into it. Its fast and pretty durable but my buddy just bought a savage.25. It seems way more stable and faster than mine. My question is would I be better of upgrading my tmaxx with new wide parts and gearing it different or just buy a new savage? This has probably been asked a million times but I am in a major dilemma. Thanks in advance.

JD.. yopu better set down the crack pipe.. youre scaring the women and children hahahahaha Savage is a great truck, but it'll be another money pit like the maxx... if it was me id splurge and get RPM widemaxx arms, shock towers, bulkhead braces and convert it over.. but thats me...

Having been there, buy a Savage. I have a T-Maxx sitting on my shelf... put all kinds of money into aluminum bulks, chassis braces, CVDs, Sirio .18, roll cage, RPM arms, etc etc. This was all in one season too. Constantly breaking one thing after another.

Then I bought a Savage. It is way more fun, and so far (about a year) I've cracked a lexan body, and broke a gas tank. Otherwise it is totally stock. Nothing has to be replaced. I'm kicking myself because I could have spent all my TMaxx hopup money to just get one in the first place.

It kills me to see people pumping money into maxxes like I did.

Take it from someone who has spent at least $1000 in upgrading a Maxx...Get a savage and do not look back....The most I have spent for my savage in one shot is $200 for the new k4.6 engine. The maxx will continually break on you....mine did.....Even with an RC Solutions roll cage and RPM parts.... CVD's throwing pins...Diffs blowing out constantly....If you want a backyard basher or something to have fun with go savage. If you want to race, try a savage or go truggy. I stil regret buying my Maxx and the shelf space it takes up now could be used for other things....Actually anyone interested in a T-Maxx with the .21 Maxx engine, Robinson Racing CB gear box internals and spur, Sirio tuned Pipe, Integy diff cases, RC Solutions roll cage, FOC, CVD's all around, RC solutions Al shock towers and aluminum shocks, dual tank mod, HT Futaba steering servo, Kimbrough Servo Saver, aluminum chassis braces, aluminum bulk heads, RPM A-Arms, Am CNC wheel hexes.
