How can I unglue my MT tires off the wheels safely?
Hey guys,
I want to take the tires off of the wheels on my truck. How can I safely unglue the tires from the wheels? I am on a tight budget and could really use your help. Thank you so much and have a great day!

RE: How can I unglue my MT tires off the wheels safely?
Are you wanting to re-use the rims or re-use the tires?
If you just want to re-use the rims, cut off as much of the tire as you can and soak the rims in acetone for an hour or so. The rest of the tire and the tire glue should just turn to jelly and come right off.
If your wanting to reuse the tires its a bit more tricky. Some people claim that boiling them will make the glue soft, but Ive tried it and it always either ends up splitting the tires, or warping the rims, not to mention it didnt seem to do squat to the glue.
Some people have also claimed that you can stick them in your oven (I dont know what temp or for how long), but I've never tried it so I cant comment on it.
