Looks really sweet, kinda like an over grown MT2. So I wonder how much this and the HotBodies Lightning have in commen?

Anyone know if this thing has a center diff or not? Can't tell from pics whether it is just a single speed tranny or single speed tranny with center diff. The specs on their site doesnt mention it either.

This thing may replace my savage....

Hellfire features:

• Purpose built high performance monster truck right out of the box. This is not a buggy conversion!
• Internal drive ratio is optimized for .21 and .28 size race engines.
• Steering and suspension geometries are designed specifically for this truck to maximize performance.
• Low center of gravity for increased responsiveness and better chassis balance.
• The front and rear differentials can be removed by taking out six screws.
• The removal of four screws allows access to the center differential.
• No e-clips are used, anywhere!
• Hex sockets reduce the possibility of a stripped screw.
• Adjustable front and rear inboard toe with convenient urethane eccentric bushings.
• Front inboard toe angle adjustments: 0 degrees to -2 degrees.
• Rear inboard toe angle adjustments: 2 degrees to 4 degrees.
• Adjustable front and rear camber using strong steel turnbuckles.
• The camber can be fine tuned to suit your track conditions.
• Anti-dive adjustments: 0 degrees to 2 degrees in 0.5 degree increments.
• Anti-squat adjustments: 1.5 degrees to 3.5 degrees in 0.5 degree increments.
• Front kick-up angle: adjustable from 21 to 25 degrees.
• 24 possible shock positions available to fine tune your suspension.
• Spring clips are included to fine tune your ride height.
• Four different shock pistons are included for a wide range of tuning options.
• Different compression and rebound can be achieved with tapered shock pistons.
• Damping can be fine tuned with different diameter holes.
• Adjustable steering geometry.
• Adjustable brake bias to control entry steering and jumping.
• Chassis braces included to adjust overall chassis stiffness for smooth or bumpy tracks.
• New, high RPM .28 K4.6 HO engine with increased HP and torque.
• Hard anodized exhaust pipe for maximum power.
• High flow 2 stage air filter for maximum engine protection and increased engine performance.
• Continuous radius exhaust header for maximum exhaust flow and power.
• Wire routing protects wires from moving parts.
• Fuel tube routing system prevents line breakage and promotes better fuel delivery.
• Fuel splash guard keeps fuel splashes away from the brake disk and drivetrain.
• 150cc fuel tank for longer run times than buggy spec 125cc equipped trucks.
• Internal fuel tank filter and external high quality fuel filter for maximum engine protection.
• Low center of gravity flush mounted radio box.
• Secure transponder mounting system.
• 1100 mah, 5-cell receiver pack with 2 hour wall charger included.
• New high strength aero dish wheel with 17mm hex for added durability.
• All driveshafts are CV style joints maximum durability and high efficiency.
• 3.5mm titanium nitride coated shock shafts for durability and maximum performance.
• Titanium nitride suspension pins are extremely durable and provide smooth suspension action.

I like the TiNi parts, six screws to remove diffs, it reads very nice.

Hmmm... HPI just slapped the truggy class in the face. Damn thats a nice truck. That truck has everything i wanted out of the LSP. I'd like to know the chassis length on that beast. If this truck follows the savage lines with durability, it will be the truck to have. For racing anyway. This new truck outta make the HPI challenge events REALLY fun.

Yup, I was thinking the same thing.....If it has at least the same length as the HotBodies Lightning, I may opt for this instead of the Jammin truggy and it 700 dollar rumored price tag......

I have not owned any Hot Bodies prior to the Stadium Pro I got in June. I took out the radio gear and engine, put in a Spektrum system and a Werks Picco .27, some King Headz upgrades, added some Panther Boa tires and this thing is awesome! Literally blows everything else in the weeds. That includes ALL monster truck offerings from ALL other manufacturers to date. I'm looking forward to some real competition from the upcoming offers from Jammin, Sportwerks, XTM, HPI, Mugen conversions, personal conversions and whoever else dares to challenge the Stadium Pro set up correctly! Yeah, I LIKE this truck!
Next year is really going to be a fun year for the new "Arena" trucks. I'm getting a little tired of buggies anyway.

Maddance, the shop I deal with told me the OFNA truggy kit was to be here end of Sept. The RTR will be more like Nov. Pricing is supposed to be similar to the Jammin buggies. Horizon's site has a price of $50. more than the buggy kit locally. I can live with that, and I'm looking forward to seeing this truggy in person.

Just what the hell I need another new truck tempt me into buying it!!! I just sold off a monster truck tonight, a HB dirt demon. Now this!! I was palying with the idea of lowering my savage beefing up the diffs, and i already got the 3spd. I have truggies sitting around 2 GS SUTS and a ofna dominator. HPI has always been one of my favorite companies, I started with a HPI Rush, and rs4 sedan. Both great handling and cheap and readily available parts. Not the fastest but hellishly tough. I ate many a wall and fence woth these vehicles. The more expensive vehicles seemed to break more, but of course they were way faster to!!

I see a new vehicle in my future.

Would someone (PLEASE) Start a nitrorc addicts group so I can talk with others who have the same compulision as I do to go out and buy every new significant rc truck made!!!!![][][][]

Default RE: HPI's new truggy: Hellfire.

looks like the hell fire could be a contender...............i guess only time will tell though. its about time hpi got off there *****es and put out a "new" truck. they only revamped the savage platform like three or four times. not that that was a bad thing, because they did due some of the things that really needed to be done to it like..........bigger engine (twice), upgraded steering components, beefier diffs (both ss versions), and the list goes on. but from a racing standpoint, there's only so much you can do with a tvp chassis arangement. plus there were no choices for shock mounting. (T-maxx has twelve different shock position, three holes on top and four on the bottom) and this seriously limited the "tunablilty" of the savage. that said the savage was and still is one of the toughest trucks on the planet, and can be bashed with the best of them, but for racing..........i'm really happy to see the hpi has finally looked beyond the savage, and gave us something else. i'm a big fan of hpi(even though i personally run a t-maxx), but there previous offering didn't quite fit with my style. i've driven several different savages and they spent more time on there lid than on there wheels, but when i drive my maxx the very same way it stay planted. So my next truck may just be a hellfire. Even though i rarely race, its nice to know that you can throw it on the track and hold your own. anyway my two cents (accually more like fifty cents, sorry bout that). peace
