Slots in chassis -dirt getting in?
I have one of those "Tyrannosuarus" Monster Trucks (Smartech) and I have noticed that under the chassis there are slots right under the fly wheel and the gearbox.
It seems odd that there would be slots that could let in dirt and sand, is there some reason for these or should i just put tape over them?

That opening is for a bump box. It starts the vehicle with a rubber wheel, that turns over the engine by hitting that flywheel. Even if you dont use a bump box, leave that slot open. In the event that you ever have a run away, or your throttle servo locks up, you'll need to touch that flywheel to shut down the engine. Most guys will grab a runaway, and touch the toe of their shoe to that flywheel to stop it.
