What do you thing, should I wait?
I finally narowed down my choice for my first MT.
It's between the MGT 4.6 and the LST 2.
I know the LST 2 is not out yet, and according to my LHS, they said by xmas. They stock plenty of parts for both, so is it worth the extra $200 for the LST 2?
So should I wait, or get the MGT now?

I never like to wait, and I'm not all that impressed by the LST2, I'd either get the LST now, or the MGt 4.6. You can always upgrade the LST1 to the LST2, and by the time you have it fully upgraded, the LST2 will be released, OR youcan just buy the MGT, which is a really cool monster too, IMO.

I'm a AE fan and like there products, but the LST2 might be worth waiting for!! The LST was a good truck and now it's even better.

Hamburglar, he did say it was his opinion. You dont need to take every opinion as a personal attack on your LST.
Greaper, that new MGT 4.6 looks hot, and has some updates. I would go with the LST2 though. Team Losi appears to have addressed every problem area that truck had. Although its very expensive, it does come with a much better radio, battery, igniter, and the list of upgrades on that truck in comparison to the LST original, well.... Its a huge difference between the two.

If I got the LST a HUGE IF the radioa nd servos would be gone I hate jr I only run hitec and I would sell they motor in it and put a 4.7 pro from xtm in it

I don't have any experence or opinion on the MGT. I can say with assurance that should your LST develope problems Horizon will stand behind theirv truck! They just replaced my engine, free of charge, no recipt and no questions asked! All I had to do was ship the damaged motor to them - less than $4 and I had a brand new, in the box motor in my hands 10 days later.
To my mind, that counts for alot.

LST-1 That's MHO. The LST-2 looks like they took the rear toe away? I have never ever thought my MGT was in the same class as my LST's as far as racing. As a basher the MGT it durable. It really needed the engine upgrade. So... LST # 1

I am more leaning to the MGT as I can save $200, and as far as I can see, the only major diff is the radio.
I am gonna sleep on it.

with the extra 200 bucks Are you a racer or basher either way you get the MGT se and get a new fm radio and rims and tires for the racer and some servos a hump pack

get the mgt truck is solid dont be a losi test dumby that truck isnt worth the risk especially since the issues with the first one. they could have the worlds greats support team but who has time to be constantly sending things back and your truck being down for weeks waiting for replacement parts. while everyone is out having fun youl be waiting on the mail man for your parts.

If your going to buy the LST2 I do agree and reccommend waiting until atleast the 2nd generation hits the stores
I never had any of the problems listed here at RCUniverse regarding the LST(1) but I waited atleast 6 months after the release to buy it

It's A LST ( That has been out for Over a Year! ) with All the Weak Points Fixed and a Few Hop-Ups,
It's Just an LST with Lots of Extras for the Same Price.Thats my 2cents...

If you say so, but thats your opinion, do the research before you buy, not just here on RCU like stated above ^^^
Take the time to get the 411 on any truck or car your interested in before you jump head first into a pile of doo doo.
And yes, another LST Can have problems off the assembly line just like the first. Nobody can predict that any ride will be problem free from launch, but when you do buy, and it does break, don't complain

I have an LST and MGT 4.6, I like them both, but I have them set up differently. The LST is a great basher and jumps like a dream. The MGT I have set up like a Truggy for speed. I changed the clutch bell to a 16T, and the spur gear to a 46T. It's fast like that, but lacks the low end power with that gearing. The LST is a beast of low end power but not as fast. So either one is a great truck, both have a metal gear tranny and drives.
On the MGT, you will want to upgrade the Radio, but both are great trucks. I can't say anything bad about either one!!!!
