RE: Anyone own a Warhead?
schlags, it was your truck that inspired me to create this thing...I blame you for my empty wallet LOL
That was a great looking truck, do you still have it? I almost did the same thing to my RTX back last spring when Tower had all those aluminum parts on sale. Couldnt afford it then but I things were better this year so I decided to go for it.

Hey schlags, nice to hear from you. Well... those beasts are HPI Goliath tires, 17mm hubs, 7 inch tall and like 4 to 5 inches wide... i havent seen bigger and meaner tires!
RE: Anyone own a Warhead?

RE: Anyone own a Warhead?
No probs Mess, I know what you were saying about the weight and such. This isnt meant to be a race contender just a bit of track fluff. And actually maybe it was your aluminum Warhead that gave me the idea. That was the purple and blue one?
As for the paint it was pretty easy actually. I had spoke to several people about doing flake and they all said it is really hard and doesnt work well. I was kind of hesitant after that but decided what the heck. I used Pactra's metal gold flake #RC70 and an airbrush. I did 3 light coats to get a nice base of the flake and then I airbrushed on the True Blue Pearl #RC93. I thinned both of these with about 1/4 thinner (not exact measurements but close). After all that I used 1 coat of Pactra Metalic Blue #RC65 from a can to fill in the lighter areas and give it a nice even look and then backed it with 2 or 3 coats of Pactra Sprint White. Overall it was totally easy. I dont know what those guys were talking about it being so hard and getting all spattered looking. Mine came out nice and even.

OK, these are the last pictures i took after almost finishing a repaint job. All the painting was done on the inside of the body. Check my gallery for more pics, these are just 3 examples.

RE: Anyone own a Warhead?
I bought 2 of these about a year ago for my RTX and WH. They seem ok and I have had no issues with them yet. There are 2 flavours of these floating around in RCU. I had a seller who supplies them caution me about the differences. I will see if I can find the email or message I got that explains it all. But so far I am happy with mine, but I paid only $21 a piece for mine.

Hey Mess, here is another servo you might want to look into
http://www.rcuniverse.com/market/item.cfm?itemId=594839
It is only $16 +$3.50 for shipping. I have bought from this guy before (dominiquecockers) and he is a good seller. Again the specs look like the same as the ones you linked to and the last ones I sent you the link to.
I bought mine from monstertuck2000 this link is to dominiquecockers

RE: Anyone own a Warhead?
I and my brother have both had this happening, we replaced fuel lines, tanks and no help. Even sealed my stock engine didnt help. Changed my engine to an Axial .28 and it seemed to go away.

RE: Anyone own a Warhead?
I strapped a tank from my brother in law's savage to the roll bar, and it seemed to work. It wasn't pretty, and I didn't keep it that way, but the tank issue went away. It could also have been that the tank was higher, and gravity helped, but I didn't take time to experiment further at the time.
