Hey 'yall! Just re-built my front diff. w/ Nova Alum diff cup, 7000 Mugen an 50,000 outer grease as per ashburg--put an alum. cover on, new "blue" front spring and am putting "boots" on the cv's( as per davido666) sure appreciate all the help and info.!!! I'll git sum pics. whn I git my new camera, should be here soon(oops! more toyz!)--David)--I'm gonna let my front CVD's go until I wear out the orig. pins( they're not TOO worn yet) or do ya think I should pop 'em out n put yur "pins" on?? LMK whatcha think "K"--BTW why dontcha need the "set screw" w/ the NOVA alum. cups ash?, wuz thinkin' there's no indent in warhead x gear holder?--Later--Mess[:@] P.S I'll git ahold of ya' MILLER!!
Save the pins I sent you and wait until the others wear out. Make sure you pack the cv joint and boots with grease to reduce the wear.

I installed the FOC shaft and when I would spin the spur gear either way, the diff outputs would turn. Last night, I tore it back down, opened up the transmission and found the problem. The one-way bearing on first gear has seized for some reason, so I turned it hard until it came unstuck, WD40'd it, and put it all back together. Everything spins fine now.

Just wondering... is that a warning sign that I'm going to need to replace that bearing soon?
You might try putting a small amount of grease in the beaing and a little layer on the shaft. I would consider replacing it because that one way has to release when the tranny shifts to 2nd gear. If it doesn't it will stay in first.

They are the Hot Bodies 7" UFO wheels w/ Flame tread tires. As far as I know, my buddy owns a local rc store and hasnt been able to get them, said they are backordered. I got them on ebay from a lady for $65 delivered which is like super cheap. They are about $100+ but there are some on there going a little cheaper. Let me tell ya, the things are huge, I thought they would make the truck look weird cause of the size proportion but they actually work very well with the size!

Hey guys I have a warhead evo for sell. I broke the front bumper and bent the roll bar but I have a ton of spar parts and it even has a extra super tiger 4.4. I have a XTM 24.7 installed in it now. I can't get it to run right but it does run... if you are interested in it let me know.. As far as extra parts I have 2 shock towers, bunper assy, slipper clutch assy, clutch bell, control arms, turn buckels (all diff sizes), roll bar, air filter assy, body mounts, body, and the list goes on and on, if you are interested in it please PM me and I will e-mail you pics of everything including the truck.

Thanks

I have seen someone else do it. I was thinkin of doing it one time when I tear the truck down. I think the best tool for it would be a dremel style tool. You just want to be careful because you will have a lot of aluminum shavings from it. You don't want any of that in the engine or the suspension. I don't think it would hurt the structure of the frame at all. It is a small area. Just pre mark it with a marker and follow along. I am still using the stock header with my HT exhaust. Go for it.

speaking of speed as far as i can remember stock wh is rated 38mph(correct me if i'm wrong)...just analyzing how big is the effect of bigger wheels to speed,,since i'm doin speed check of my wh now, my last run is pretty much 36 mph with Moab xl tire 6.9" and truck is not really dialed, running 10% nitro and won't shift to 2nd gear,,i'm hoping i can test again tomorrow since the tranny is shifting now,,i'm expecting few more mph...btw, i have os vg .30 in it.

Quick HElP!!!

I just bought the warhead evo less then a month ago. So far its a great truck. The 1st thing I was going to do was put a new engine in it. How ever my plans have changed I HAVE THE MONSTER TRUCK FEVER!!!!.No new engine till later. I just bought the mt8.0 and it will be here soon. But I was thinking of putting a new pipe on the super pooper till I do get the os .30 this spring. Can someone give me the names of a couple good pipes around $50 that will help give the pooper a little more torc. I plan on going to day to buy it so if I could get a couple quick responses that would be sweet.
