Default MGT Tranny problem

Hey guys, took the truck out yesterday for a bit of light bashing and the drivetrain suddenly stopped engaging - i.e the engine was revving but the truck wasn't moving.

It wasn't the clutch or the slipper so it's definately something in the transmission itself. I recently replaced the 1-way in the transmission after it disintegrated so i suspect it's the same problem. Replacing these damn things takes ages and they cost quite a bit so i'm pretty p****d that it's happened again. The newest 1-way has had less than 10 tanks on it.

My question is WHY this is happening? - i'm using the stock .21 engine and the slipper is set 1/4 - 1/8 from tight. Are the 1-ways a known weak link or am i just unlucky?

did u hit the reverse button? lol on my MGT, my reverse servo i use is old and it cant engage it into reverse. so when i accidentally push the button my truck stops and revs up. i just hit the button again and my mgt is back in normal working condition. maybe take the whole thing apart, clean it up, lube it, and put it together. You'll find out what happens eventually and you will deffinitly laugh when you figure it out. its usually something obvious. :-p

I don't think i hit reverse, but once i've put it back together i'll see if hitting the fwd/reverse button does anything. I'm in the process of cleaning it at the mo, nearly have it stripped down to the chassis.

Hope it is something simple, cos i'd hate to open up the tranny AGAIN to fix the problem.

Cheers. ...back to cleaning... [&o]

Nevermind...

Found the problem - snapped the 2-speed shaft in the tranny Part PD1411. Sheared off at one of the pinholes. Damn. [:@]
