size definatly isnt everything. the os .18's for it are awsome, and a good .21 like hybridstone said, will beat out anything much larger than that.

Yeah, the NX 76 is great!!! But in a large, heavy MT only. Lots of low end...Tapers off pretty quick in the powerband. I had a Genesis, great fun!!!!!

well my ofna hyper .21 (not 8 port) in my T-Maxx snapped all 4 screws in the diff cup in the rear diff on my 2nd tank. darn test runs, always find parts that need to be upgraded

You can fit just about anything in there with a good bb kit (qoncepts). I have had up to the os30 in it - I took it out as I shredded 3 diffs and bent my chassis - I have replaced with os21vspec - like mentioned above, bigger is not faster! The os30 for example is a great low and mid rpm engine..it is NOT a top end motor - the 21 will run circles around it (plus its lighter, drinks less fuel). If you are going with a BB, I would do the spyder tank mod, or wait for tekno 250cc tank conversion (I just heard one is in the works) since bb's will drink a lot more fuel - once you get the qoncepts kit though, you can install any engine you want...good luck!

not in a monster truck buddy....the 28's and 32's are faster......and if your talking a hand tuned 21 then hand tune the 32 and it will blow the 21 away.....................all you kids seem to think the off-road 21's are soo powerful, they have a smooth powerband, but not nearly the tourque or muscle of a 28 or 32

That is true for the most part (a 28 or 30 will beat a 21) - a nova 28 will easily outrun a 30 or 32 (or any 21 for that matter) (at least the ones I have seen and used). The fastest revo I have ever seen has a modded nova 28 in it - it is quick to say the least. That being said, the vspec 21 is FAR faster then the OS30 I just took out of my revo - not even close. I had the 30 geared 18/36 and even tried 19/36 - so much torque still! The 30 had a lot more torque (see 3 diffs and bent chassis!) and is a great engine - I just thiink it was too much for me in the revo...time will tell on the vspec, but so far, I like it..

a Revo is barely a monster truck LOL....try running a high RPM screamer in a Savage, Warhead or LST....then you will see a Honda engine trying to push a 3/4 tonne.....The OS 30 is far from a performance made engine, it has very little port work and very basic internal machining....Try the LRP 28 spec 2 for something with some more power from a 28.

the lrp z28 has huge torque know if you were comparing to revos with big blocks. one with a nova 28 8 port race i still thing a high end 21 will kill it especiall a c5. or ws72 because what does the revo realy weigh not much at all. as far as something like 2 lst it would be the 28 that would have the advantage out the whole and do to its weight shouldnt be a issue to lay the power to the ground

either way it is described, you have to consider the parts the the motor works with. say you have a .21 and it seems like it blows everything away. replacing it with say a 30 will not necessarily make it faster. you could destroy the entire driveline on your first run, or just do nothing but wheelies. you could put a 350 chevy motor in a Honda Civic, but without major mods it wouldn't be much more than a giant paper weight. plus the fuel consumption, unless someone started making larger tanks for the trucks with smaller tanks, your gonna be stoping for fuel alot sooner

All good points! All I know is I have had os18, rb323, wasp 28, os 30, and now the vspec in the revo - the vspec is by far the fastest (and I do not have it broken in all the way yet). Also, I am still not seeing the power of the mach 427 in the lst2 - it runs good, is reliable, idles all day long, but the power is not there. I got dusted by an os18 revo on the street (not that that means much), but the point is I expected a lot more from the 427 - maybe it will continue to get better (I do like the engine, just need more of it!!) Going to try out the RE 32 - I am hearing great things about it and it is dirt cheap! I would imagine it goes very well in the LST2??? Want more low end, and more top end in the lst2...the vspec in the revo is, finally, the perfect fit! Thanks for the help!

well wat about the concepts motors the C-5 motor the runs for the buggys i think thats wat they are called they will smoke a lot of the .26's .28's and higher motors so size dosent mean anything actually. lol.

From what I have seen and heard, I agree 100%. Guy over at another forum runs a modded nova 28 and he has had just about all the engines, collari 30 and 32, wasps, etc. He said the nova blows the doors off the collari's - seeing video of his truck, I have to agree...that thing is just sick fast
