Central NJ MT/Buggy racers
Hi All,
I am forming a club and am looking to find people in the Central NJ area who are interested in R/C. The club is BARCC (Brunswick Area Radio Controlled Club) and I've just gotten permission to use land for a track in Milltown, off Exit 9. As the club is just starting, I need all the help I can get. If you're interested and are in Central NJ, please give me a shout. Imagine not having to travel for hours to be able to race!!
Thanks,
Marshon

from me, over the outter, i come on the TP at exit 10. so this is actually doable for me.
is there a track in the works, or nearby. we have nothing organized here. just a bunch of parking lot bashers. the city built a nice R/C oval track on the beach, paved and all, but for the MT's its gets old after 2 minutes. unless you cut across the middle

one more thing. i own and run a landscape company. i have access to a Bobcat, makes grading and rough outlaying of the track alittle easier and ofcourse, an abundance of tools.
just a thought.

RE: Central NJ MT/Buggy racers
FGA, I emailed you back....I thought I'd attached some digi pics I'd taken of the property but I guess not. I'll send them to you now in another email. Basically there's an oval dirt driveway w/ trees in the infield, new growth 8-10 years old, trees less than 6" in diameter. I want to expand around the driveway in 3 directions, clear the infield, clear brush for parking, get some dirt fill and layout a mx style track. Any trees that have been there for eons will stay, but there aren't any of that size in the way. There's one group of trees grown together that might require stump grinding. Check out the pics and lemme know what you think...

The track is a definite go!!! My buddy and I have agreed to terms for use of the land and I'm breaking ground tomorrow!! Look for first set of pics showing the area by the end of the week. Club membership will be in the range of $50/ season. Membership will entitle you to 1 free track session per week, discounted race fees (once we get enough $ to purchase AMBrc), discounted track fees and a discount at participating hobby shops. Practice sessions will be $10/day for all day usage. Targeted completion date is April 30th. Please stay tuned and if interested in this project please keep this thread alive!!!
